I was wondering can you get an intercooling fan for laptops? I have an hp dv6775us and the fan is ridiculous. i mean its always on and its kind of loud. My dad has a dell laptop and leaves it on 24/7 literally because of work purposes but me i leave it on 3 hours max then put it to sleep or turn it off. I know its because of my video card because if i dont leave the fan on the motherboard will fry according to some site i forgot. So i was wondering can i put a liquid cooling device or something so the fan will stop being on. I even bought those mini fans that your put underneath the laptop so it doesnt overheat the mat things

I'm not at all an authority on this type of thing, but using common sense I doubt you could, or atleast it wouldn't be easy, put a cooling system inside laptops, which are fit fairly tight together.

This may be an extreme, or may be the only option: Get a newer laptop.

They make platforms that you can use for your laptop. The one I use is USB powered, has three fans, and I can't even tell it was on. Lets me play RS HD, when before my laptop would over heat and crash.

Edit: oops, he already has one box.gif

Well, for my MacBook Pro right now I have it propped up on like a 1" binder, so cool air can run underneath it. It also makes typing more ergonomically sound. smile.gif

Runs cool.
