Pixel Of 2008 Competition

Introduction:

Some people may remember this from late 2007/early 2008. Some really good pixels were presented and I think it\'s a shame those pixels go to waste. So this is a new competition, but some rules have changed. I think the reason 2007 one was a failure was due to the long wait it meant, I gave a lot of time and some people were desinterested. So this time the it will be shorter.

Rules:

·It must be a pixel you have drawn on the course of 2008. But as a bonus, people who posted their pixels in the Po2007 can use their entries here. The 2007 topic can be found by scrollign down in the competitiosn forum.

Theme : Anything you like
Preferred program : MS paint, if you use another please specify.
Animations : Permitted.
Color limit : Any you like, but if you like challenges, use as few as you can.
Size limit : Any, you could even draw a wallpaper .
Style specifications : None, you can make anything, unless they are stickmen.
End date : January 20thJ????? 2009 22:00pm -5GMT

Prizes:

I would like to make something special for thr prizes in various categories.

1st Place -Best Pixel of The Year 2008 Drawer Banner(or something like that )
-Distinguished Artist Avatar, Banner and signature.

2nd Place -DIstinguished Artist Signature

3rd Place -Distinguished Artist Banner

Honorary Mention -Innovative Artist banner

Best animation (if any) -Animated banner

Less Colors used -2 colors special signature

If anyone wants to discuss the prizes, think some are not fair, or want better, pm or post here.

I thinking of making one of these, but hey, now I can enter.

Well nobody seems to be caring much about competitions this days . It's time for some publicy or whatever it is spelled .

It's just that nobody is active anymore. Hardly any pixelers are left.

or that there's too many new pixelers who wouldn't stand much of a chance against more experienced ones. Because we all know who would win this, either you Doom, or Ethan, unless someone like Kuyori, or Ky comes back all the sudden.

But you two guys could always participate . You may encourage other people to join . Come on we need to revive the pixel studio .

I didn't really do many pixels in 2008....maybe like one or two(Unless I totally forgot about some ), and the one I started on Dec 31 I only finished yesterday, I need to get some CC on things to fix/work on.

I think the main reason for all the inactivity is school for one, and that making pixels take a lot of time and effort compared to digital painting or merely drawing with a pencil.

I'll see if I can find some art to post for the competition later, but it would be nice if I wasn't the only one in this. (Hint, hint).

Being honest.. school is the problem thats why i dont pixel anymore.

Well we got 9 entries, that is better than before, maybe we can actually get to judging, I'll wait a few more days to see if anyone posts any pixel, like 2-4 days, then we start judging.
