The prints we make for our 'daily use' not only use paper, but also ink. According to SPRANQ creative communications (Utrecht, The Netherlands) your ink cartridges (or ink toner) could last longer.
SPRANQ has therefore developed a new font: the Ecofont.

"After Dutch holey cheese, there now is a Dutch font with holes as well."

Appealing ideas are often simple: how much of a letter can be removed while maintaining readability? After extensive testing with all kinds of shapes, the best results were achieved using small circles. After lots of late hours (and coffee) this resulted in a font that uses up to 20% less ink. Free to download, free to use.

Basically it's a font designed to save you ink when you print, and the best part? Completely free smile.gif

Go on, give it a go.

It looks weird though tongue.gif I wouldn't use that to print off business documents or anything
Drolleke
looks weird on screen, probably looks better printed. Nice concept though.

I tried it earlier on just 12pt and it didn't look too bad. I see no reason why i wouldn't use this for casual things, but i might stick with regular ones for some of my more formal documents.

This is an interesting and creative idea. I'm going to try it out.

Real nice... I must mention this to my GreenTeam advisor.

I prefer to use fonts that require as much ink as possible.

Why is that?
Jr Josh
Because MOAR is BETTAR. *Nods*

Josh, become one with your inner ecologist. The trees, they're your brother.
Jr Josh
Sorry. My brothers are humans, not trees.
