Story:
Sent by George Bush, unknown date.
it's been 17 years since the 2 Plagues struck. one killed you, and reanimated the body, under it's control. the other simply drove you insane, and pushed the now feeble consciousness out of its way, controlling you. the 1st plague became known as Zombism. the second, Vampirism. thousands succumbed, and thousands more hide in the streets of the americas. we lost contact with the east a while back, they must think us all dead. we might as well be. and I know it's only a matter of time before they get me, they get us all... oh god, here comes one now. if anyone gets this, please come. please save us. PLEASEafsfjlksfjkldfgcvhbjnkml...
Rules: you know 'em
Races:
Human: though few, they're the only race that can use weaponry.
Vampire: smarter than zombies, they have the ability to fly. no, they don't need to drink blood.
Zombies: what they lack in smarts, they make up for in numbers, and sheer unkillability.
Werewolves: when a wolf is infected, it reacts differently. and when the wolf infects a human, the human gains extraordinary speed and honed instincts, not to mention sharper teeth and claws. The downside is that it's easy to recognize a werewolf for what it is. Also, their minds are taken over by the wolven instincts, so they are, like Zombies, not exactly intelligent.

IC: Leo sat in his old room, sharpening his knife with a block. Every once in a while, he glanced out the window, occasionally spotting a zombie. Shaking his head, he examined the knife, nodded with satisfaction, and sheathed it. Walking downstairs, he opened his closet door, reached in, and pulled out a dusty shotgun. Loading it, he unlocked the door and walked outside. Now armed, he started down and scanned the road for zombies, vampires, and most importantly, survivors. If they are others out there, they need my help.

Draco looked up the road. Hmmm shall we see who's at the mall Draco headed up towards the mall and saw someting in the darkness of a nearby alley. He rd some groans and out of the alley 2 zombies charged him. "Pathetic." Draco yelled as he just floated up out of there reach. Draco looked at his nails. "These things are deadly." he swooped down with hi nails out and decapitated both of the zombies. "Now that wasn't any fun." Draco muttered. as he flew up tp the roof of the mall and over looked the streets that he could see.

Eventually, Leo arrived at the local mall, deserted and dark. "Hmm...maybe some survivors, but also monsters." Making his forward, he heard a scream that echoed with others and stopped. "Uh-oh.", he said as a small group of zombies began charging at him from the mall. He cocked his shotgun and fired in their midst, killing 3. Repeating it, most were killed quickly but 5 or 6 escaped back into the shadows. Reaching into his pocket, Leo hid behind a car and reloaded.

Devon surveyed the world below him from the top of the Empire States Building. It wasnt much to look at. Fire spread from building to building, crowds of zombies and vampires moved through the street, and once in awhile, a shriek would sound out, indicating the end of another pitiful human life. he would like to move on to the other countries, but untill he managed to destroy every last human and zombie, that was impossible. with a sigh, he watched a Vampire decapitate 3 zombies, and continue his flight. behind him, the zombies got back up, and resumed their slow hike up to where their real prey was, a human hiding behind a car. just because they didnt have their heads didnt mean they were helpless. Devon sighed again, realizing that by the time he got to that prey, it would already be zombified. instead, he turned to a human, hiding in the basement of this building. Smoke curled up around devon, forming demonic wings. He spread them, and dived towards the hard concrete below. it was time to add a new member to the vampire family.

Screaming echoed off the walls of the buildings as Doc dragged a man off towards the lab. "Don't be scared, little one. Soon you'll be better than ever. But you may lose your mind." laughed Doc. The man screamed harder. Doc was tired of this. He stopped, picked up a rock, and hit the man on the head...
__________________________________________________
The man opened his eyes, and saw a very dirty ceiling. He noticed he was strapped to a metal table. He looked aroung and saw the zombie that had been dragging him. "Ah! You're awake. Brace yourself. This may sting..." said Doc as he took out a scalpel. The man froze in terror. Doc slit the man's ribcage as he screamed out in pain. Then he took out a needle and squirted a gross liquid into his heart. Then Doc sat back and waited, while laughing maniacally.

Risking a glance, Leo was astonished to find 3 decapitated zombies walking slowly towards his position. Reloading, he aimed over the trunk and fired. Cocking it again, he repeated it it twice until both had fallen. "Hmm....I think they're down." Still not certain, he fled towards the mall, kicking open the door and locking it behind him. I better be careful, there's probably more things worse than just zombies and vampires. Looking carefully through the darkness, he moved into the shadows.

IC: the zombies stood up, and, now uninterested in their original prey, moved towards the empire states building. they had seen Devon fly through the door.
Meanwhile, Devon was wiping his mouth. it wasnt strictly neccessary to drink the humans blood, of course, but it reinforced the human fear of vampires, and anyway, the blood tasted good. looking up, he saw several zombies, 3 with there heads cut off, 8, including the ones missing heads, with numerous holes in them, and another 4 with no wounds whatsoever, making their ways towards him. "They're yours." he said to the newest vampire, and, his cloak sweeping out behind him, walked towards the rear exit. the sounds of strenuous combat came to him from behind. he smiled. this one would make a good vampire.

Using the butt of his gun, Leo broke the lock on an "Antique Store" and kicked it open. Inside were lots of old, historic items. Swords, pottery and armour were all here. Putting his gun down, Leo took a look around. At the back, it was labeled "Swords and Bows". A glass case depicted a shiny, rusted scimitar with a sign: Display only; not for sale. Leo grimaced at that. They didn't say anything about B & E. He picked up his shotgun and smashed it, leaving the weapon intact. Picking it up, Leo hefted it and was satisfied. He exited the store, armed with a new weapon.

Doc Reffus stepped back and looked at his new creation. It was a normal zombie, with tentacles covering its entire body, and a huge mouth in its chest. Suddenly he heard the smashing of glass. Someone was breaking into the antique store to the right of his lab. He motioned for his new monster to follow and went to check it out. When he saw it was a normal human, he smiled and said, "Ahh! Fresh meat! Sick 'im, boy!" and the tentacle-beast leaped at the man.

Jan 21 2009, 09:17 PM
Leo heard a person speak out, and turned around. He cried out in shock and sprinted away, followed by a zombie. Loading his shotgun and cocking it, he aimed it over his shoulder and fired, blowing a hole in it. The zombie staggered, then continued its chase. He repeated the action until he knocked it down. Ejecting the empty shell, he sprinted for the stairs, gasping and terrified.

Doc only laughed, as the zombie's wounds instantly healed up. The Doc ran off after the man, and eventually caught up to him. He jumped onto him and knocked him into a broken light, sending electricity through him. "You seem shocked." said Doc, laughing.
Leo Crimson
Jan 21 2009, 09:59 PM
Quickly recovering, Leo whipped out his knife and cut the man across the leg and shoved him back. "I can see you're bleeding.", he grimaced. Turning to the zombie, he readied his scimitar. "Bring it."

IC:
Clarine was in a shelled out Papaya King a street from the Empire State Building.
She grimaced as an unknown energy attacked her mind. The plague just kept trying.
If there wasn't a way to subdue these attacks, she would eventually succumb.
Clarine took a ravenous bite at a stale piece of hot dog bread, and a long swig of Papaya drink.
All those... Preservatives... After all these years. So... Unhealthy, but better than nothing...There was a sound of a skirmish nearby.
A zombie and a mutant was attacking a man outside of an antique shop.
The man ran back into the shop, apparently fleeing in terror, and the creatures followed.
Durnstugn Antiques... It's still there. Healing staffs! That... Old man told me he had staves... From the magician's... Era. That might... Work.So Clarine crept out of the food chain and dashed to the facade of a rundown building, and then to outside the shop.
Inside, there was hundreds of old artifacts. She saw old tomes, jewelry, and all the sort.
There was an obvious sound of fighting upstairs.
Clarine entered the storage room, looking through row through row until she came upon a crate of long staves.
She picked up an elaborate piece.
It was made of carved mahogany wood, gilded with gold and silver. On the top of the staff sat a ruby orb. Etched in the middle of the staff in exquisite text was
Mending
She put it down and looked at the others.
There was Healing, Fortification, Latona, Lighting, and a few unnamed plain rods.
"How the hell do I use this!?" Clarine burst out.
She ransacked the old crate again and found a tome with a simple silver star on it. It was ancient and hard to read, but it was obvious that this was the answer.
The fighting upstairs grew louder.
"Oh..."
Clarine grabbed the Mending and the tome and started for the exit.

IC: Fake walked through the streets of Ny at dark, this was highly dangerous. Luckily his Vampire Eyes helped him see.
"Ahhhh," He heard a scream behind him, instantly he jumped back and pulled out his shotgun.
"Help me!" Yelled A human, getting chased by zombies.
"They're slow, outrun them," Fake Replied.
"It's not the zombies I'm running from, it's the dogs," the man Replied.
"Zombie Dogs," Fake Thought.
"Get behind the car," Fake told the man. He reloaded his shotgun and waited. Suddenly he heard it, the growl of a dog. It came, the dog leaped on him trying to bite him. Fake held him by the neck to stop that.
"Get off me!" Fake yelled. He kicked the dog in the stomach and pushed it off him. He quickly got up as the dog leaped. He aimed and shot it in the head. Fake walked back to the man, and saw he was clutching his knee.
"Your bit," Fake whispered with no emotion.
"Yes but, I'm not one of them," he replied.
"But you will be," Fake said readying his shotgun.
"Nooo-" The man fell, screaming. Fake was alarmed and almost dropped his gaurd. The man stopped screaming and got up. He was a zombie. Fake backed off, knowing he was to close. The Zombie ran towards Fake and punched him.
Fake got up and ran, "Damn it, he must have gotten bit by a dog, this is going to be bad," Fake said to himself. He stopped runnin, turned and shot. The zombie jumped avoided the bullet, he was fast. He tackled Fake, running his hands through his shoulder. Fake started bleeding a bit, then Fake pulled his legs, dropping him. He aimed his shotgun again and shot, missing. The zombie leaped, hoping to get his kill this time. Fake dropped his shotgun. The zombie was in biting distance. Sudenlly Fake pulled out two, titanium, diamond edged swords. He crossed them in front of the zombie, slicing off his neck. He wiped the blood off his swords, picked up his gun, and walked away....

Blake could hear a distant rustling in the forest - he whipped out his swords and looked around, before deciding that nothing threatening was around. He re-sheathed his swords. He walked on, slowly and warily. The wind was hastily picking up; it whistled through the trees of the Tekya Forest as Blake began to relax. His footsteps crunched on the dead leaves on the muddy, wet ground.
"Blake..."
Something called his name. It was only a low, creaky grumble but he was sure that somebody had said his name.
He started running. He was speeding past everything as fast as he could, with his bow and arrows poised and ready.
A zombie jumped out of a tree, and knocked Blake to the ground. His reflexes did the work for him - the arrow was right up against the zombie's forehead. Blake was about to let go of his grip on the arrow, launching it into its head, when everything around him paused and faded to black...

It makes the most sense to have to shoot a zombie in the brain, which they truly would need to survive.
The brain sends neural impulses to your body, and without it you can't move or function. Decapitation would definitely stop it.
Or it could be like a chicken, where after the brain is detatched, they can continue to move for several minutes, just without any idea where. Also, they'd most likely just be spasmically, well, spasing on the ground.

Or it could be like a chicken, where after the brain is detatched, they can continue to move for several minutes, just without any idea where. Also, they'd most likely just be spasmically, well, spasing on the ground.
See that's what I'm saying, but it's their choice, cause the heart stops beating when you die, so whatever.

Clarine yelped "Oh... Shoot!" and dived for the counter.
There was a loaded service revolver in an open drawer, and without checking if it was loaded, sent a spray of badly aimed bullets in the direction of the beast.
While it was distracted, Clarine dashed back into the store room and locked the steel vault door.
Now she looked around for suitable weapons.
Rapiers... broadswords, rifles... handguns, axes, what is... the best?
Clarine found a rapier and a Standard police handgun and decided on using those.
