when i want to take a screen shot i press the print screen button but nothing happens. Y?

To take a screenshot, press the print screen button, then open up paint and hit control+v. It will paste a picture of your whole screen there, and you can edit it as you wish from there and save it. Most people will applaud you for cropping out the rest of the picture besides the bit you're interested in.

same thing happened to me
But i'm on a windows vista and the prt sc key is locked so you need to hold the fn key while you press the prt sc button.

How to Take a Picture on a Mac:

Hold Shift Command 3 for full desktop or shift command 4 for selective area.

How to Take Picture on Windows XP:
Print Screen button

Vista:
Function key(fn) and Print Screen

When you hit the print screen button, it takes a screenshot and puts it into temporary clipboard. To acess it, you need to post it in paint or a similar program.
