1. Why I would like to join: I would like to join since I want to help the community and I see that you need some help in the Newspaper.

2. Desired section: Interviews, yes I saw that there’s someone else applying for this, but I’d help in all sections.

3. My experience: I really do not have much experience. I’ve done interviews for school, but nothing else. I am willing to learn, though.

4. My example:

Today we are going to interview Lord Earth; he is a Sal’s Clan Chat moderator and an active Slammer. Let’s start this with real life.

1. Do people in your life know you as Lord Earth, if not, how do they call you? Hah, of course not. People mostly just call me Chris in this so called weird world of "real life”.
2. What school year/grade do you attend? I am currently in the eighth grade.
3. Please tell us about your favorite subject. It is gym; nothing feels better than running around playing sports.
4. What career would you like to study? Right now, I have absolutely no idea what I plan to do.
5. Do you practice any extracurricular activities? I used to participate in tai-kwon-doe (a martial art) but I am unable to do that now due to having problems with my foot.
6. Do you have any favorite music gender? I particularly like hard rock, but I`ll listen to just about anything besides gangster rap and most country.
7. What about books? I normally dislike reading and will only do so if needed.

Well, enough about your life. Shall we talk about RuneScape and Sal’s?
Yes pl0x. : D

1. How did you find out about both sites? I found out Runescape when I asked my friends if they knew of any good online games after I tried playing WoW for a day at my uncles house. They then told me about Runescape and I decided to join up.
I found out about Sals when I couldn't figure what to do in a quest, so I turned to Google for help and searched "quest help" and Sals was the first result. I then used Sals for a long(about 3-4 months) then decided to join the forums.
2. Would you still visit the forums if you quit RuneScape? Most likely, I have no reason NOT to go on the forums.
3. What are your current RS goals? Right now, I'm going for 90 attack/strength/defense, then going to get 99 fletching with 99 magic and 80 runecraft.
4. Do you like moderating the Clan Chat (if so, what do you like the most)? Of course. I love to help out the chat when there's an evil troll or a maniac spammer in the chat. The only thing I dislike about it is I actually get referred to as a moderator in the game, which in some cases makes it look like I'm impersonating an actual player mod, risking my account.
5. Have you ever thought about quitting the Clan Chat? Not once, it's one of the only things that keeps me sane while I'm training some skill that only needs me to watch my character and not a whole lot else.
6. Do you think that the Clan Chat and Forums should interact more? Like giving Clan Chat Moderators special privileges. Special privileges are unneeded, as they are meant to mod the chat, not the forums.
7. Have you ever had to leave the Clan Chat because of users breaking rules (before you were made a moderator, of course)? I would normally either put them on my ignore list, or go on the forums and attempt to contact a moderator.
8. In your opinion, should rules be harsher?I believe the rules are a bit too harsh already. I prefer to see the chat as a place I can sit back and relax and simply enjoy everyone's company instead of yelling at everyone for simply using QC to state their levels(unless the user is going completely over board) or debating about something.
9. What did you first think when you were promoted? At first, I was thrilled that I'd finally be able to kick out the bad people who mainly came in the chat to cause huge problems.
10. Do you consider RuneScape and Sal’s an addiction or a pastime? I find RuneScape more addicting than anything else lol. As for Sals, it's more of a pastime I suppose.
11. Would you like to change anything in the forums? Perhaps a little change to chat mods so they could get more easily reconized on the forums incase a spammer/troll is in the chat and no other mod is on. Other than that, nothing really, it's fine the way it is.

Thanks for your time Earthy, is there anything else that you would like to say to the community? Not that I can think of, thanks for interviewing meeee. :3
Lord Earth
Who's the noob you interviewed? Good luck, hope you're accepted. biggrin.gif
Cookthechef
The only thing I dislike is that there is only one question about him clan chatting. Everything else is general. In my opinion, when an interview is done, it's usually done to learn more about something or a different view point. This is more kind of general.
finisterra
@Cook: I made him some more questions about the Clan Chat. I see that you got a good point.
Prashanna
Great example interview, I'll accept this. smile.gif
