So I make a thread in Fun 'n Games forum called "The Spam Thread"
Then, 3 days later.. It gets closed?
Bottom line: Why should a thread in fun 'n games be closed because it spams? Isn't that what the entire Scape Lounge forum about? Fun and games?

The rules clearly say that is disallowed. The rule applies to every forum; just because The 'Scape Lounge is a bit relaxed it doesn't mean it is a spam forum.

Well, I guess you could argue that while practically the same thing, the 1,000 page topic does have a purpose and a goal.

Well, I guess you could argue that while practically the same thing, the 1,000 page topic does have a purpose and a goal.
Yes, but that is still spammy to an extent.
Maybe one topic of spam is enough, and at least it has a goal.
