Kwinten simply said what I was going to say. That and, there are interesting pictures. But you are right, not of areas. But you won't see them till its release, which is why this is a discussion topic, which is why he's asking for pictures, which is why I posted.
Besides, this topic is more than pointless because most pictures have been collaborated onto fansites.
The problem with the pics is that you can find them all on different websites so there isn't a website that has something others don't.
Yeah, Kwinten, you should probably try to specialize in a certain part of MechScape when it comes out, something unique. MechWorld or whatever has a big head start on you, so if you cover the exact same things you might not do quite as well.

You should be talking to me, about that, good sir! About that, there is nothing anyone can do now, except post concept art and interviews with Jagex. So we can only start doing stuff, when MechScape is actually released.

MechScape World has recently been given exclusive pictures from Jagex (which is nice). We also have Jagex artist Darren B's art which might be from MechScape. As stated on our website many of the pictures from artists such as Tom W (some of which I provided exposure to back in 2007 and are now all over the place) are by Jagex artists but it turns out were based on Warhammer 40k and were therefore not created for MechScape.
This whole MSW exclusive picture thing is quite stupid. It seems that Jagex only supports them (that is unfair of course). None of the other fansites have any exclusive info (search google for other fansites and see that none of them have any exclusive info).
If they release info then release it to everyone.

The ironic thing of course is that only the hype is actually driving mechscape forward. We only have broad details of the game. Everyone is assuming it will be a great game when it could be disastrous.

I'm assuming it will be mediocre, but in reality it could, indeed, be disastrous.
Games have very low chances of failure especially online ones chances are at least a couple hundred thousand will love the game.

Actually they weren't the first. There was some small InvisionFree one before them, but it failed and closed soon. They get exclusive stuff because they are the biggest i guess. Still it is unfair for the other communities.

I then established MechScape World (in the form of MechScape Central) on the 23rd of October 2007 and wrote about MechScape on the Jagex wikipedia entry, and nobody since has been able to provide me with any evidence of any fansites prior to that. Actually, Emanick has a point. Mechtopia can become a good ressource for guides and such, but you should also do something Mechscape World hasn't...

I can confirm that the majority of Tom W's artwork was not for MechScape, and that none of Kristina F's or Sam H's artwork was for MechScape. That pretty much just leaves Darren B's artwork, the official Jagex artwork and the few really old Tom W drawings which are no longer representative of the game due to their age.

Agreed, I'm really hoping MS won't turn out to be a mmorpg, but a game more along the lines of an FPS, but quite different.
I want a space sim aspect, but you never know...
