Agent F is most likely right. Otherwise Jagex would have to put up with the problems of people using famous names.

Taking other people's names just because they're famous/well known is immature. If people (And I'm not pointing this directly at Muttdog) want attention that much, they should earn it.

I'd take Kemosabe. RuneScape is the only place on the internet that I don't go by the name of Kemosabe. If I couldn't do that, I'd take Red Scotsman or El Benno11, like my RS names.

I hope we do, because, frankly, I think there's a big difference betweena name you would use in a fantasy game and a name you would use in a science fiction game.

If JaGeX linked your accounts over like they did in FunOrb it would be pretty stupid considering a lot of new people might come to MechScape but not RuneScape and a lot of names will be taken since all the Runescape names will be taken. I think we'll be able to register and I'm registering Nate, Pies, Or Eat Pies, and a few other short names if I can get them.

Think of your friendslist though. 'Runescape world 166'.
If they link it over, you can talk to your friends on Mechscape, like you can to people in FunOrb. I don't think Jagex will care about a lot of the short names being taken, that's the benefit of being with them from the start.

There will be more benefits to them of linking the games than letting people create new accounts. They can market it better, talk between games, use your account for all Jagex facilities, buy membership to all the areas (which Jagex could offer at a reduced value to make more money).

We'll just have to wait and see if we can choose new names, and if we can get in fast.

No One's Day will be my mechscape account. I made it on RS to make sure it didn't get taken, and I'll remake if the names aren't linked.

I highly doubt the names will be linked. They did it with FunOrb because it's a small, minigame website. MechScape is going to be an entirely new MMORPG, so it shouldn't have the names linked.

I've made an account in preperation. I'm Fl Ex.

It's almost certain in my mind that the account names will be transferable. Even if they aren't, I'm sure I can easily make Fl Ex again, considering it was untaken until a couple of days ago.
Or Flex might be free.

After being able to register the names Mech Omega and Tricerion, I'd figure I'd go with Tricerion. Tricerion is a robo from the game "Custom Robo Arena" for the Nintendo DS, which is a suitable name for a robot game. Tricerion is a Burning Beast model and looks like a dinosaur obviously. I picked it over Mech Omega because I didn't want to follow the trend of having the word "Mech" in front of my name, like 100 different people will have.

Plus, it was the last Custom Robo Arena name left to be taken, so I jumped for it as soon as I saw that Tricerion was available.

If Mechscape is meant for an older audience then I think if the accounts can be used on both then your age would have to be correct.
