Yes but they've also told you to ignore what you've heard before and that it would be out when its ready.... or they could be talking about financial Q1 which starts in april.... It all depends on when there year starts... I've also heard spring 2009

Hang on I'll find a quote....

Wherever I read that seems to have disspered of the face of the earth slanty.gif
Fabis
Yeah, no one really knows when it will be released. We just have to wait and see.

They have given a lot of dates, i'm starting to wonder if it was just a way of keeping us surprised smile.gif.
Darren
March has only started...
Falcon
It's what everyone's been saying, no one really knows tongue.gif
Seeing as it's Jagex it'll probably be released within a months radius of when they said it would be.
Gaia
My guess is that it will go the monday of the second week of march or the last day of march even though there are many rumours slanty.gif

Seeing as Jagex always delays stuff (the new mini-game, Summoning Part 2 and a few other updates) i am starting to think it's going to be April or May.

Well, that's the silly RS team. Jagex put together another team for MS, which I hope tends to be stern with their updates. tongue.gif

I reckon it will be here later then expected.
Would you rather that they rushed it out and it wasn't as good, or if they took their time and made it better tongue.gif?

Typo bleh.gif
Veni vidi vici
... Maybe they found like 100 bugs and just decided not to fix them and abandon Mechscape! ohmy.gif
Or they will just keep us in suspense...

I'm afraid that we can't give you a precise release date at this time. We have to make sure that everything is thoroughly tested before it's released.

Quote from a very special person.

QUOTE
Back in May 2008 Iddison stated that MechScape could be expected "early next year, Q1 2009 (Jan-March)" . Then it went to March, with Iddison saying in June that it was due "for launch in March 2009" and Henrique saying in August that it would be "coming out in March 2009" as well as in mid-September saying it would be "released in March, 2009". However, at the end of September they stated it "will be released in spring 2009" (March-May). Whether they always intended a late-March release and just changed how they described it or if there has been any change in plans I do not know. When asked "Would that be something you would start in Europe again and then filter into more markets across the globe?" he answered "it will be launched in the US and Europe at the same time", which I take to mean it will be released in the same places as RuneScape from the start (although there are other possible interpretations).
Ren
My current understanding is that a long time ago Jagex thought it'd be March, but that doesn't mean they are still expecting it for March. Complex software projects are notoriously hard to estimate about.

Large game projects are very hard to give a definite release date. When fixing bugs and doing test runs they might create more bugs/find well hidden bugs and the like.

I'd rather have mechscape somewhere end may/june instead of having it rushed and being a large disappointment.

If anyone saw the other topic, which I think got deleted now, it had a post saying the date of release. I think that guy is banned now, though, because it came from the restricted board in Zybez's forum. It was posted by W13.
guano
Its been proven to be fake on Zybez Mechscape Community
Yippee
EDIT: I think I posted the picture that w13 got banned for...so I removed it until I cna find more info on it. Sorry people.

EDIT 2: Real proof that his picture was faked:

Taken by myself, so I know it's real. It's page 155 of one of the Q&A threads, probably the last one. I'd give the QFC, but I found it with the search function, and I accidentally closed the tab...
Silverguy
The guy came over to MSC (RSC's Mechscape Site) and admitted it was a fake. I don't think I am allowed to post a link but the picture is on that thread, as well as the confession.
Kingy
Have you noticed no runescape updates all month.
Scary Food Item
The financial year's Q1 doesn't start until the middle of April (Something like April 16th). I'm looking for it then.
Magical
I think we can give them a bit more time. With the economic climate, and with such a new industry, I guess predicted release times for this kind of material can be extremely difficult. I'm sure it'll be here before June, if not well before.

Hopefully early April, if not I will be really annoyed.

There is no known release date, but Mod Mark Gerhard says "it will be released when awesome".

Apparently (info from another post), MechScape is complete, and they are just checking for bugs. So unless checking for bugs takes 2 months, it's coming out soon.
Easy as pie
They made me excited for nothing. A J Mod said it was going to be released on March 25, 2009. And it wasn't. Hope they release it on April 1, 2009!
