Here's a link, watch the video.

I'm truly amazed by this. It seems very convenient, looks like it operates very quickly, and I wouldn't mind having one.

When do you think technology like this will be available to the public?

Heh, I'm not to sure about walking around with stuff strapped to me (Ipod sized necklace maybe?), but it does look cool. Probably what caught my attention was the moving Wall Street Journal (Harry Potter biggrin.gif ) which seems the most practical, and probable. Also the sensing texture thing seems a bit too futuristic. What if you want to to take a picture, but it sees your hands and turns the phone on?
Emo_Nemo
I want lmao and it probably won't be available till about 2012

Never going to happen. Teleportation is more likely in quantum physics than this is. Yes, I am a bit high...

This isn't really that advanced but the way its put together of existing technologies. I'm very impressed on its implementation, all we need is apple to get hold of it so it will become "trendy" so i won't look stupid walking around with it. I love the idea to be honest.

Also redmonke when are you changing your avatar?!?!?

Apple doesn't need to get a hold of it so it can be trendy dell, hp, sony, etc have made better looking products then Apple has put out tbh.

If Apple were to get a hold of it they would charge 5 grand and make it hard to develop for.

Apple doesnt deserve it, let another company have it.
Apple will have enough publicity..

This looks cool, just pick up some candy and you see information about it xd.gif
Also very cool if the projector had proximity sensor, so it could be a stronger light on a surface far away.
Nokia has implemented a proximity sensor in 5800, works very good and if handy in calls, turns off screen completely so it saves electricity.

Yes, I did post this topic, but I have a question. Is the thing on the guy's shirt the projector?

I remember reading in the paper, they think you will be able to change your music and stuff, all with the blink of an eye. I thought it was pretty amazing.

Times certainly have changed. On the train home from TAFE yesterday, a woman was listen to an old Walkman, were you needed to insert a disc and everything. I thought it was a funny comparison, because I had my 2GB MP3 player, which was a fraction of the size of hers, and held more data.

That must be a lens on your eye then, when its not showing anything it sends command.
Shame if you are sleeping xd.gif
I would maybe use this widget if it was smaller and a bit white.
Then connect o my pwnzor 5800 evil.gif
That projector would need a little improvement, handy if someone else is writing their number down xd.gif

And who would use a Diskman nowadays?
Its old and doesnt handle being shaked while playing..
What if the train bumped a bit and the disc got scratched all over xd.gif
You get a good MP3 player for 300 bucks around here rolleyes.gif
My mother uses a Walkman, small one.
Not disk but digital.
Veni vidi vici
Really, it is just a bunch of pre-existing, but not very well known technologies put together in one.

In the video (or the one I saw) the host said it should be about ten years, but if it came out sooner, I would pay $350 for it!
