basically, red octobor is an awesome movie, but the sequal is patriot games. The reason the board is called red october 2 is because a) it's fuggen awesome and b) they forgot about patriot games.

Well personally I think this is temporary untill mechscape actually does come out and then we could expect a few more mechscape related boards. So it's just a random name to give it isn't it.
