Intel Pentium dual core processor Windows Vista Enterprise 1gb RAM Antivirus installed Office Installed No monitor
That's all I remember from the guy who was selling. Is this worth 200 USD. If so, how much is it worth?

There has to be a catch. Vista by itself is over $100.
Is this a used computer? If so I wouldn't doubt that Vista and Office are pirated.

It's most probably worth it. See if you can go back and actaully use it. If it runs well it's worth $200.
EDIT: red, it's a yard sale (but still, I wouldn't have a hard time believing there is a catch)

Oh, lol.
I'd buy it, then scan it with AVG or something and then upgrade the ram to 2gb for like $20.

Say "$150". It's probably a Dell and has problems associated with that. Anyways--you can download Vista and install whatever version it's licensed to run.

Could you give us a link to the computer? By what you've said, it seems like it's worth it, as long as it's not from a company like eBay.

Try reading and your questions would have been answered.
@redmonke The computer runs fine, and I got to try it out. The guy didn't pirate anything, he just got a laptop and wanted to rid himself of his desktop.

Well dang, that's a deal. I'd go for it, but be sure the antivirus is up to date or uninstall it if it's a paid version that you'd have to resubscribe to.

Go for it--it's probably an i945 board in there, but those are OK for basic use. And heck--you can upgrade it later or take it apart.

Heck if i wanted to upgrade i'd chuck MS home server/Samba on it and run it as a file server. Great deal IMO.

Are you able to find out if its a Intel Pentium Hyper-Threading processor?
Those are single core CPU's, the computer see's it as a dual core.

He said "dual core". I'm assuming that means a Conroe-based. Even if it's Smithfield or Presler... still a dual-core, but not worth $200 USD IMO.

Could still very well be Pentium D netburst. Which isn't too bad IMO, if it was conroe it would be an even better deal
