So we went down to London yesterday to the Tate museum and the Saatchi museum
At the Saatchi mueseum, our group did a workshop with an artist called Jamie Williams

He basically gave us all a photo to work from and told us to copy it using only pen, and if we made a mistake, continue anyway.

I came out with this, which I'm pretty pleased with. I ended up having to use a sharpie for the larger areas (next time I do anything like this, I'll use Ink because it'll look neater).

So I'll probably use this same mindset of drawing for my trial exam next week.

Nice drawing.

Not much critism on it really.

Except for one thing that annoys me a little.

To me it seems like you've colord your image with a felt pen, which isn't a bad thing, but there are a few cons of them. One of them are small 'sections' you can see in the black areas. You've probably colored in small squares, then started with another square. The thing is you can see the borders between them very good. Lots of darker stripes all over the place is the result.

So just try to color in your black areas more equally without darker stripes in them. Try coloring in larger areas instead of coloring a small area, then starting a new area.

For the rest it looks lovely in my opinion.

Yeah I'm gunna use ink next time to do the large black areas. At the time my only other option was the fine liner I had before.

The school has an abundant supply of that which is good biggrin.gif
