Today Jagex updated the game with 2 prayer updates.
The first is one that many of you with 99 prayer are going to cut yourselves over. If you use a bone on the alter it gives you the option to offer 1, offer 5, offer all, or offer X. It is a bit slower then manually doing it BUT obviously your hand doesn't get arthritis just from getting 99 pray using this method.
The second update - one that actually impacts you in PKRIs is "quick prayers". If you right click the prayer symbol next to the minimap(the one that shows how much prayer you have left) it allows you to "select quick prayers". By doing this you can then click that button and all the "quck prayers" you selected will come on.
In one click you can now turn on protect item, 15% mage def, 15% def, melee pray, or anything else you want. Should help a substantial amount for PKRIs.(You don't have to have your prayerbook open at all anymore really meaning you can bind and stay on the spell book page the whole time)

I do like this update. For many, tanking will become much easier, their is no reason why anyone should be k0ed unless they are caught in robes.
Fights will be much longer. People will get alot more frustrated when alot more people tank them. Protect item is easier to get on now so it will take clans longer to clean someones bank.
People will still get k0ed, just less frequently. I have not tried it out yet, but people tell me there is a delay when turning on your prayers.

i like this update
and i feel bad for the people who got 99 prayer b4 this (all those clicks lol)
and for warring and pvping the prayers will be a great help.
i think wars are going to be a bit more longer, and tanking will be greatly enhanced for alot of people

Seems like a nice update. There is a little delay in the quick prayer activation, though.

There are some hopeless people in the clan world that'll never tank - ever. But this should improve the tanking abilities of everybody else

Do you like this update? Surprisingly yes, I actually do like this update.
How will this effect fights? Well D-bones still cost alot, so only the rich players will be able to put good use of the new bone system. And the Prayers will help with not getting koed as often.
Will people still be getting k0ed on a regular basis or do you think everyone will become much better at tanking? Well, some people are just to slow to hit one button. So those people will continued to get Koed. But since you will be able to put steel skin and melee prayer up at same time now. It will help with warding off the initial hits.

I'm annoyed by the Pray X update. Although I was planning to do 90-99 prayer, this is going to skyrocket the cost for me which is really annoying.
The quick prayers update, however, I think is good.

How will this effect fights? I don't think things wil; change much, people still have to be able to buy and afford the d-bones, and some people just have slow reaction times.
Will people still be getting k0ed on a regular basis or do you think everyone will become much better at tanking? The new update will probably help a little bit.

Do you like this update? Yes, and no. Yes because it helps us tank better, no because other people will tank us better.
How will this effect fights? Fights will ofcourse last longer. Also the piles won't get dropped as easy because people just have to click the prayer button and tank away.
Will people still be getting k0ed on a regular basis or do you think everyone will become much better at tanking? Not really. Tanking is not just only activiting prayers and just run around obstacles to hug, it requires abit more then that. People that often get koed are pushed forward, a little help to get them better in tanking. All they miss is experience.

Yes, I think people will still get k0ed a lot. Nobody will become better at tanking, just at getting their prayer up.
Jagex is making everything too easy.

Do you like this update? No, takes the skill away from tanking. Next button they make is eating all your food in one click.
How will this effect fights? People wont die as fast, and will also be able to save money on return sets with extra rune plates.
Will people still be getting k0ed on a regular basis or do you think everyone will become much better at tanking? K0s will always happen, but maybe now not as much. I tested this out, but say you're switching from mage prayer to your quick setup prayers, theres like 2 seconds where you have no prayers on. Im not sure if that means you have no prayer bonus, or just that theres no graphical image. There could be a lot of k0s in between if you get no prayer bonus.

How will this effect fights? It will help..but not make a HUGE impact. It will help because people will get 99 faster

Do you like this update? Yep. I was 126 previous to this but in all fairness I bought my bones for a lot cheaper than you lot are paying now so having an easier way for you to get your prayer up doesn't make me too angry

How will this effect fights? You say longer, I say shorter. As you said the frustration of longer tanks will come but in the bigger fights that just sways it more in favor to the clan that started off better. Usually in a 20v20 at this stage only one or two get koed and this prayer update is not gonna fix people that can't tank 20.
