ok so its like this, i got like an email from my friend and my virus scanner said it had a virus in it (not when i opened it but when i tried to download word document from it closedeyes.gif) and he told me to email it to someone who was like working with me on the same thing.
i emailed it and he emailed it too but he didnt know it had virus on it because he was the first sender and the guy i sent got virus from his email but not my email its weird because i dont think my friend's email had virus it only got infected when it sent out? (or is that not possible), i was just wondering do i have to like download a virus to infect someone or something because that just sounds risky and dumb and i mean how do people give viruses to other people (like my friend) if they don't have it themselves?

They have virus protection. Also, you don't have to download it. You can have it on a flash drive or something, and just attatch a file.
Techy
It seems like your friend who sent you the e-mail wanted the friend you sent it to get a virus. Virus can spread either way since the person who made the virus can control it. The virus gets the person's IP and the Virus Worker can open it and attach it to anything. So once the virus hits one's computer, if it wishes to take effect your screwed...Unless I do something about it.
