So I want to buy a video camera. It doesn't need to be anything too fancy, but I defiantly don't want a junker. I want it to have in internal drive for storage, seeing as that would be the most convenient for me. I want it to have good picture and sound quality on both my TV and the internet, but it doesn't have to be amazing. Basically I want my quality to look good enough so no one thinks it looks low quality and really bad, but no one needs to be jumping up and down at how great it looks. Oh, and HD is not necessary.

I would like it to come with some sort of editing software, since I currently don't have any. Probably the most important thing in the camera has to be it's durability. I want something that can take some abuse and lasts along time. I'm not made of money here. tongue.gif Price range should be about $350-$600.

I've always been a fan of Sony products so I would definitely look there first, but I'm no expert when it comes to cameras. These Handycam camcorders have built in hard drives: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...categoryId=3555

If you're using a Windows OS, you probably have Windows Movie Maker installed that can do basic movie manipulation. Windows XP users can download Windows Movie Maker 2.1 here.

Lol, You replied to my last topic as well. I'll look at some of those cameras on other sites. See what some reviews say. I do have WMM, but it's kind of a piece of crud. It can edit scenes together well and do some effects but it's almost impossible to any less than basic special effects.

Most cameras don't come with editing software, and what they do come with usually isn't the greatest.

I've had a good experience with Sony Vegas, and you can buy some really good versions on ebay for around $50. It has some really advanced features to it, too.
