Step 1: Read sticky already posted.
Step 2: Press Control+Print Screen, or on some computers, just press Print Screen.
Step 3: Paste (Control+V) into Paint or any other picture editing program.
Step 4: Use mouse to crop out unnecessary parts of the screenshot.
Step 5: Click and drag the corner of the canvas the screenshot is on until you can't see any more empty area. Save as .PNG for best results, and never, NEVER save as .JPEG or .JPG. (Horrid quality.)

Shouldve just posted a link to the guide.

And .JPEG and .JPG work well in some cases its really on runescape pictures that are best to use in .PNG because of file size and other picture quality benefits....

if u have a laptop disregard what has just been stated above instead press the [fn] button right next 2 the control button on the bottom left of the keyboard and whilst holding press insert screen
then open up paint or whatever u pasting it into and hit control+v

Are you trying on a PC or Mac?

If mac, simply press: Command+shift+4($)

you have got to explain more than that dylan
1. are you running on mac or windows
2. are you on desktop or laptop
3. which keyboard have you got
4. which version have you got?
