ok my friend wants a good laptop. i suggested a dell inspiron. he would be playing mmporg games such as runescape and Ogame. what should he get that's cheap and would still work fast.

Does he want a gaming laptop or something? If he's just going to be playing MMOs like that, something around 800 would do.

For that, you can get a 2GHz, 4gb, 250gb unibody MacBook, which are very à la mode. If you cut down on RAM and HDD, you could buy XP SP3 and still be under budget.

i'm trying to steer him away from the MacBook. and yes he wants a gaming laptop but he really doesn't need one for what he'll be doing.
