Port Trafalgar is being assaulted by a fleet of United Vampiric warships. They have already broken through the Serenian Naval Defense and have landed on Trafalgar Beach. The battle is not going to well on land, but at sea, the Naval Defense is now lashing back.

Geography TRYING TO MAKE A MAP...

The people of the continent of Archaus have lived a diverse life, not unlike the World of Earth. There were twenty eight countries within Archaus, and to the North, a long, imaginary line bordered Archaus and the continent of Yil. To the South, West, and East of Archaus layed the vast open ocean, a sea of mystery for some; and a body of wealth for others. It's name was the Sunsil Ocean. There have been wars, alliances, bandits, and strifes, not unlike the Earth.
In the South West corner of Archaus were the countries of Serenia, Dureuva, Llita, and the islands of Illut. They all bordered the sea. In the West were the countries of Jyil, Yist, Faih, Solas, Lummond, Tern, and Fire. Tern and Fire was landlocked. In the North West, the long country of Theoile occupied the entire North coast, a fourth of way across Archaus. In the North, the country of Jial borders Theoile's Eastern side. Also in the North was Ymil, Valehencia, Carcino, and Willum, which was in the North Eastern corner. Every single country in the North bordered Yil. On the East coast were the countries of Papil, Vaile, Tethoil, and Eira. In the South East, was the single, small country of Gharideli. Much of the South is unihabited. Way off Eira's coast is the island country of Navy. In the center of Archaus were five countries Epidia, Hmil, Aerei, Cil, and Hanida. There were all landlocked, exept for Aerei and Hanida, which shared a lake.

Storyline/Plot

The Continent is currently in the year 1302, equivelent to the 1730s in the World of Earth. All twenty three countries have adopted Monarchy. Five years ago, Hmil, a secluded wooded country, mysteriously "shut down". Any merchants or envoys going into the country never came out. Nothing came out. Slowly, Ephidia, Cil, and eventually Hanida and Aerei started showing similar activies as Hmil: darkened soil, dying plants, and a great decrease in people and livestock coming out. Eventually, they all shut down like Aerei. Neighboring countries, greatly perplexed, sent squads into these countries. They never came out alive.
A year later, Tern, Fire, Yist, Faih, Carcino, Papil, Vaile, Tethoil, and the powerful country of Willum suddenly fell from sudden, deadly surprise attacks, seemingly from the Heartland of Archaus. Allies rushed to help their friends... Hoping to find survivors... Retake the capitol... But instead of finding survivors or even the dead, they encountered pale beings that craved blood, and were nigh impossible to kill, and later, as many learned, once bitten, a person would almost always turn into these beings. They were intelligent, and could do almost everything a normal person could do. The suggestion of garlic came and failed, and sunlight was not as crippling as thought, though it seemed to agitate them. People gave them many names, but the word Vampire stuck.
As several more countries were crippled, the remaining countries put aside their grudges, and eventually allied themselves together. Most vampire attacks were uncoordinated, but deadly. It seemed the ultimate goal was to afflict the entire world. Attacks turned more deadly when they became coordinated by leaders, who had a vast body of options. "Assassins" could easily overthrow another country, for example.
Research took place in three major fields: Scientific, Magical, and Spiritual. The scientific research came with a flop, and many scientists were killed or turned during their experiments. However, magical and spiritual "vaccines" were created. Many believe it is a demonic or magical affliction. However, the vaccines only subdued the affliction, and eventually a person who was bitten would become a vampire. Fervant testing has showed that if an afflicted person could regularly take a dosage of the vaccine, it would continually supress the affliction. The side effects usually led to an untimely death, however. The vaccine, if given to a vampire regularly, seemed to reverse only the mental effect. Unfourtunately, the remedy costs a fortune.
Two weeks ago, only the allied "Light" countries Serenia, a battered Dureuva, Illut, Theoile, Gharideli, and Navy island were still standing. Serenia still stood simply by sheer population and excellent fortification. A dwarvern population also contributed. Dureuva's king is a vampire, but is pro-Light. Illut and Navy island was protected by the sea. Gharideli was populated by elves, who were resistant to vampires. All but the main body of Theole was taken.

Knowing this, enemy forces converged on Theoile, and in a brutal battle, Theoile's famed "Theo's Army" was defeated and Theoile taken. Yil's countries had been quitely building a great wall on their border, and with Theoile down, Yil's countries are fretting about vampiric naval attacks.
Theoile's famed Elite "Blue" squadron of about half a dozen men survived, but either injured, bitten, and half-dead. They quickly fled Theoile by ship for Serenia. They are racing against time to get to alert Serenia before they run out of time. Unfortunately, they run aground half-way there.

History: For an unknown reason, Victor was born with only one type of magic; his parents called it Negation. It negates any and all forms of magic within a seven meter distance of him. His parents, who were both religious and believed magic to be the cause of the vampires, believed that he was part of the Deities' plan to stop the vampires; for this reason, they named him "Victory from Sin." Victor was taught by his parents many things on religion and custom, but little on fighting or self-defense. At the age of sixteen, he left his home, believing that if he was some part of the Gods' plan, he couldn't achieve it hiding in a house. He learned different fighting skills from different teachers from different lands and has combined them to create his own fighting style. While he no longer believes he is part of a plan from the Gods, he still fights for what he believes in.

The top of his clothing underneath his uniform is split to reveal his chest, covered by crossing leather straps. His hair is long and silver, with his bangs parted to either side of his face. Beyond his clothing and hair, Sephiroth is known for his green cat-like eyes and the Masamune, his seven-foot long katana that he is rarely seen without. Sephiroth's typical battle stance with the sword is to hold it over his left shoulder, and he usually wields the Masamune two-handed, presumably to increase the force of his strikes as he is capable of using it with one hand.
Personality: He is cold and fierce, which hides the fact that he's delusional, as he believes he can attain the status of god.
History: Sephiroth spent years in a sect dedicated to the worship of vampires, and when the fabled creatures arrived, the sect offered themselves to the infection. Sephiroth, unsatisfied by the powers of the vampires (he believed them to be superior to a demigod), fled the sect, thus avoiding being infected. He once overheard a man talking about his mission granted by the gods, and has ever since then tried to kill him, hoping to find a way to harvest his powers.

History: David always hated being a lumberjack. He was alone in the woods one day when a pale-faced creature bit him on the neck. In turn, he fainted and woke up the next day a pale-faced creature himself. He sought out other vampires, working hard for their causes and infecting a large amount of humans himself. As a reward for his efforts, he was made a captain.

Description(clothes, armour, weapons, items, height, etc): Du'Monde Is a very tall man, 6'3". His figure is slender and agile, not very muscular though. He has long grayed hair that extends to his upper back, his forehead is covered by hair that goes to his eyebrows. His eyes are very cheerful looking for a vampire, the right eye is colored violet-crimson and the left with a bright green iris. He usual wears a casual smirk on his thin lips, proudly showing his fangs. His skin is pale white, obviously. He wears an extravagant "Gerogian era" dress gown. He wears a long cloak that surrounds his shoulders as well. A rapier is sheathed on his right hip. The hilt has a silver tempered pattern that looks like the Uroboros surrounded by vines and ivy.
Personality: Du'Monde has a cheerful and joker-like personality. He enjoys teasing with people and will even go as far as to mess around with a higher up. But this is not to say he isn't intelligent. He has a very morbid sense of humor, and likes to toy with whomever he is battling with illusions of great pain, suffering and the such. A common tactic of his is to create a false mirror and make whoever is his victim watch their body become a mutilated corpse.
History: Du'monde was born into a royal family in Archaus. He was a wealthy and pampered child, his parents cared a great deal for him. He didn't realize how much they loved him though because they were always a busy couple and couldn't spend much time with him. Du'monde wasn't a very social child, he had very few friends that weren't royalty. He spend most of his time fencing with the other young boys. When he reached his teenage years he became very skilled in the art of swordplay. But he wished to turn his talents to another possibility; magic. Du'monde began to learn the arcane arts, but shooting fireballs or smiting objects with elemental power was to cliche for him. He learned the powers of illusionary magics. He enjoyed toying with peoples minds and later formed a sick sense of humor while he formed his skill in these powers. When Du'monde had reached adulthood, his parents were reluctant to allow him to leave on account of they felt he needed to learn to respect people far more than he did. Though the young magical fencer couldn't care less about anything but his own agenda. Though a few years after he departed from his parents house, he could he the town bells going off. Soldiers were rushing to the gates of the city, all Du'monde could see where figures rushing to the gates, climbing over walls and sinking their teeth into civilians flesh. He took his rapier and began to battle the undead forces, but was ultimately unsuccessful. He fell ill to the ailment and became one of the horrid creatures himself, he did not seem to mind though. Unusually, he did not loose an ounce of his intelligence but he could feel an unending hatred toward the living, he did not know why though. Perhaps he was envious or thought they were weak. But he knew that he had a meaning in life now. He would spread this dark infection throughout the world, and sooner or later rise in the ranks of the undead and command them as his own army.
Other: Du'monde Can use illusion magic on anyone, though his rapier is enchanted to set up small runic symbols in an area around him and his foe. These circles allow him to use more powerful illusion magic on more mentally strong foes. If one of these runes is destroyed the effect will cease. Normally Du'monde cannot use very powerful illusion magic on the strong-willed or strong-minded. He also is very skilled and fierce with a rapier.

Country: He hails from the mysterious South, although now he has pressed onwards towards the field of battle.

Age: 70 in Elvish Years (presuming that's 34 in human reckoning).
Description: Lucis stands a six feet tall, with a figure that resembles a physically fit man in his late twenties. Crimson eyes seem to stand out on his slightly tanned face, giving a glimpse of his dark personality. An attractive nose and thin lips lie beneath his eyes. He has long black hair that verges on greying, which streams about a bit wildly at times. His broad shoulders, covered with shoulder guards, carry a tattered, red cape, held in place over his shoulders and lower face by several buckles, that hangs down to his shins. His cape only scarcely covers his dark grey attire underneath, containing several straps and buckles. His four foot long nagamaki (Japanese Pole Weapon) is sheathed on the side of his right leg, that lies above black boots. Whilst his left hand is left without a glove, his right is covered by a dark crimson gauntlet, that some recognize as a claw of sorts. Very much a useful weapon too.
Personality: Lucis Demen Festern is something of a megalomaniac, having no care for anyone else and feeling no sympathy or pity in his life. His personality is one of cold ruthlessness and all who know him think of him as dark and brooding, carrying many a secrets. His actions echo out this description even more, portraying himself as somewhat of a lonesome being, although he has been seen allying himself and working with others, however only for the sake of getting something out of them. This, however, is a rare case, with his ice cold exterior and professional attitude repelling others. A puppeteer you might call him. Lucis boasts of his power to any that chooses to listen or not, though he is careful when choosing his words (being well spoken), giving him an intelligent mind as well as donning him a sharp thinker. Lucis makes himself confident to the point of arrogance. He is altogether calm, collected and always in control of everything, with himself always having a plan in mind. His Elvish origins hold him graceful in many ways and mad is a word that barely inches into his character, seen through few actions of his. Lucis Demen Festern is simply, the sinister avatar of a god.
History: Lucis Demen Festern was born to an Elvish scholar and his assistant. Once entering the world, his father, determined to create a son to his liking, began to flesh out Lucis' personality to what he wanted it to be, despite the opposing pleas from his wife and assistant. From there, Lucis was put through grueling experiments and tests to make him a powerful and dominant figure, worthy of his father's name. However, it was with his mother's intervention did everything change. Choosing not to stand her husband's madness and to put her child through this torture, she began to prepare for a rash escape from their home and the scholar. A year later, in the midst of night, Lucis' mother took him and herself, fleeing from the weathered building that housed the sleeping madman. The next day, he discovered their escape, mind snapping and him turning into a wild and outraged man, lusting for revenge on his wife and child. Meanwhile, Lucis and his mother had found home in an abandoned 'shack' of sorts in the South, knowing full well of it's lack of population and the seclusion both of them would be safe in. Now, away from her husband, she began attempting to pull Lucis out of the tyrannical ways his father had forced upon him, choosing to make Lucis into more of a gentleman and a valiant elf of bravado, skilled with a blade than a bow.
Years past and Lucis moved into adult hood, continually practicing his sword training, and now, schooled by his mother in proclaimed 'gentleman' speech. However his father, ever persistent, finally figured their whereabouts, traveling their with naught but the clothes on his back and a dagger. He arrived in their, once secret, home, sparking an argument with Lucis' mother. One thing led to another and the two became entangled in a battle of fists than of words, however his father, more stronger than his mother, broke, stabbing his mother to death and killing himself in a frenzied misery. Lucis was left in the rainy night, his two dead parents before him on the floor - and he didn't have a care in the world for them. Sick of their forced teachings, he left them to rot in the dust and grime, wandering the South.
He soon arrived at a mysterious monastery of sorts, inhabited by a small company of 'followers', of who, Lucis didn't know. They took him in, teaching him a more flexible way with his blade, along with schooling him in the lore of the world and the secrets that lay within it. He was born anew, reformed, into the figure of a power-thirsty, megalomaniac, fit physically, and mentally, to take on the world. He spent several years there, working his body, mind and spirit into perfection. The religious followers, discarded him from their monastery, believing him to be 'ready'. When asked who they followed, they handed him a mysterious book, and simply replied: "A belief." Confounded, he left, straying to the more populated regions of the world, all the while, studying closely to this book he had been presented with.
It has been three years from that day, and Lucis Demen Festern has begun plotting and planning against the Light factions and the Vampires, eager to use both to his advantage. Like the followers, he too, has become a follower of a belief. A belief some refer to as: "the Survival of the Fittest".
Other: One notable feature of Lucis, is his remarkable skill with a blade. His prowess with his nagamaki is remarkable, with him, almost all the time, having to use only one hand to wield the weapon.

Description(clothes, armour, weapons, items, height, etc): Dark blue cloth clothing, does not own any armor, or any weapons. No items, except for clothing, and some money. Stands at six foot two. Dark black hair, tied back from his face. Light skined (not white). Blue-green eyes that make people unconfortable, almost as if he can see straight through the person (thou he cannot, it is only a feeling most get).
Personality: Two sided. Dislikes being the center of attention. Most of the time is shy, and has many of the traits of a child. Randomly, as a result of experiments (this is more detailed in the history), John becomes a "living weapon", so to speak. John has limited control over this, thou he is gradually getting much better at controling it.
History: From a very early age, John was a naturally gifted genius. Capable, he excelled at all exercises, both physical, and mental, that he was given. Unfortunately for him, John was without parents. Also, thou he was an elf, as a bi-product of this, he grew up in a human city, never knowing who his parents where. As a result, one day, when his abilities caught the eye of the local government offical, John was without parents to object to his being taken. To cover up his being taken, a story was faked about John's death, and the local mage (who was in on the plan, and later became one of John's teachers, thou John does not remember any of this,) created a body that looked like John, eventually planted to be found in the nearby river. The story was that John had taken a step to close, and fallen in, knowledge that John was actually capable of swimning, thou he never showed any interest in it, except for the water games that required it, was surpressed (which is to say that those that brought that fact up oddly no longer existed). The governer then forceable stuck John in a forced secret training program designed to create "living weapons" capable of destroying the vampires, yet incapable of turning on their "handlers". The former was acomplished by hard training. The latter, by brain alterating operations. The process destroyed John's charactor. Which as a result, means John prefers to be alone whenever possible, although he is subjected to random rampages, triggered by vampires, thou, as a result of the unfinished training, even this does not trigger John's changing, all the time, thou it is the most common reason for his change or other "behavioral triggers", implanted, but never finished, due to the unfinished program, and does not enjoy being the center of attention. While in the state, John is learning to see friend from foe, thou it is only recently, that he has controlled the state to this degree, it is still not perfect, and he must struggle to not kill "friends". When in "the state" John becomes an amazing fighter, capable of only fighting and killing, he never talks in this state. What brings him out of it is random, usually a reaction to many things, and/ or embedded "behavior modifers". When John awakens he does not have any immediate memory of events while he was in "the state". Six years later, John was 14 at the time, one of the trainers underestimated the "pathetic experiment", as a result, the man was killed, and John managed to escape, useing the dead mans' keys and weapon. John has been on the run for the last two years. While he does not know why he runs, he knows that he must keep running. He also knows he hates vampires, thou he does not know why he does, or why he should, he just knows that he does. John, when in his "normal" state, is also scared of the vampires, even thou he hates them. Memories of the places where he were kept occasionally come back to him, usually right before one of his "rampages" but not always. There is always a little boy in these "visions", thou John does not realize that this is himself. John is a master at hand to hand combat (he was taught all forms of martial arts) and is a great shot with any thrown weaponry (be it throwning knife, bow, or whatever type gun is in use with the period). A magical gift was also installed in John, when in the state, he can control air itself to a certain degree. Outside of the state, John does not know of any of these powers, although they bleed through at odd times, completely randomly. John does not realize this at all. Once while walking a man attempted to steal his wallet. Without realizeing it, John automatically felt the mans hand inside his pocket, reached down, and broke all of his fingers. Another time, John managed to catch ten lemons that had fallen off a nearby cart before one hit the ground. Again, thou, John did not realize it.

Personality: The most exquisite form of farmer boy. As in slightly over polite and somewhat at odds with city life.
History: Harold grew up on a farm. It was a small farm nestled in the foothills outside of Serenia and it was on the plot of land that is that farm that he grew up. At the age of eighteen he bailed on his father during harvest time and went to join the Serenian army. Now he is a man, a man enrolled in the army and he considers it a matter of his pride to hold out as a soldier of Serenia until all hell breaks loose and the world freezes over.
