Full Version: I Need Help Finding A Gaming Laptop
Sal's RuneScape Forum > Everything... Not RuneScape > Tech Talk > Tech Discussion
Chris
Currently, my only viable option is the Dell Studio 16 XPS but it has a horrible GPU for the laptops price.

I am trying to find a laptop with a better GPU to handle upcoming games, if the laptop cannot handle StarCraft2 or Diablo3 then its pointless to buy since those two games will be great for many years most likely. The 16 XPS should be able to play those games on lower/medium settings at least but I would like a better GPU for other games aswell and buying a Dell/Alienware with a 9800GT or something costs far too much and I could save $1000 off another company.

Now the reason why I cannot buy from most other companies is the fact that I require the option of weekly/monthly/yearly payments without any of those "pay later" Credit Card options.

Basicly:
I need a better Laptop than the "middle" Dell Studio 16 XPS
I must have the option for a payment plan over an amount of time *Main Thing Here*
Preferred Max Budget of $1200-1300 USD ($1500'ish CAD)
Must be available in Canada
No Credit Card "Pay Later" Stuff

Anybody able to help me out? I cannot find any companies who will sell me a Laptop with a payment plan.

Don't suggest getting a Desktop, I have one of the craziest Desktops on Sals Realm. I just gotta wait for the Motherboard which is taking a very long time to get. blink.gif

Well you see i would suggest getting a desktop... tongue.gif

Really though, i assume you mean a gaming desktop that you already have/are making/made. There's no reason to have two gaming machines at a time, that's just overkill. If i were you i would use the desktop as a primary PC and get something like a netbook as secondary.

If you do insist on a laptop... well, i'm just going to throw it out here but people are going to shout at me for it:

Amazing spec, monthly payments, available in Canada...

I can't bring my desktop computer to work every night. sad.gif

The alienware laptopss cost far far too much for what you get from them.

If bob-sama is right that newegg has a pay by month thing, the I would recommend this:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?...N82E16834220483

It's probably a little too expensive, but I have the same model (slightly worse actually), and totally recommend it. Its pretty big, although its surprisingly not heavy. It plays games REALLY well, better than most other laptops I've seen. If you have any questions just ask.

I would like to know how this works. ohmy.gif

The last time that I bought something from Newegg they only accepted Credit Cards and I payed my sister to get the product for me, I do not have a Credit Card.

Vista is the software that runs your computer, if you do not have such software then you wouldn't be able to use your computer.

Sherwood and Runescape don't take very powerfull computers to play, the games and programs that I plan to use will require a lot more juice. wink.gif

I don't know about Canada; I don't even know if PayPal works in Canada. I assume that it does and that it will.

It works in almost every country and i'v been using it since 2007, I just don't know anything about the "pay-in-12-months" thing.
