It is 2034. Much of the world has changed. China has changed to democracy, following the path of the US(except for healthcare; China has universal now), and has joined with Taiwan to create the Middle Kingdom Republic of China(MKRC). Japan and China are now brothers and assist each other in economic development. India has become a major source for oil and other fossil fuels. The UN has elected Norway, Denmark, and Germany to its Security Council as members for the next 10 years. Operation Bacon, a worldwide UN task, has been executed and much of Africa is now out of poverty. Coal has been abandoned, and nuclear power seems the way of the future. But no world is perfect. There are always flaws and in this one the flaws are, surprisingly,......politics.
Much of the world, except for China and other Middle Eastern countries, has adopted the US electoral system as their own. In many countries, Republicans are in control. But there is always corruption. It all started in 1 place....in Vietnam.
The Republicans were elected in 2031 in Vietnam. As soon as the President sat down, plans were drawn up to take over the other countries and put in US electoral systems. Within 3 months, Korea, Pakistan, and Laos were under Vietnamese control. The United States and other Democrat-controlled countries protested at this. Soon, the US declared war on Vietnam.

10 years later....
The world has changed much. Very much. The entire planet is now in ruins. Only 3 million humans have survived. Most of the survivors live in small communities, one day ready for revenge. The Vietnamese were the most victorious, having taken shelter in underground tunnels from almost 100 years ago. The Laotians have also managed to survive so-so. However, it is the United States that lost the most, with only 500000 survivors. Living conditions are so-so, but many long for their former lives. Due to this, the United States has started Nato again, and many are flocking to their armies. In response, the right-wingers form the Eastern Alliance Bloc, also known as the Bloc, EA, or EAB. War has begun again.

Accepted. I guess we can start, but I'll keep trying to get more people to join...
IC: Inside the military base in New York City, Sergeant Leo Crimson marched the 3rd Division of the 4th Battalion through the main room. Dismissing them, the commander returned to his room, and shut the door behind him. On his desk was an MP5, some 30 round magazines for the submachine gun, and a few explosives. After slinging the weapon across his chest, Leo grabbed a sports bag and packed ammunition, explosives and other things. As he grabbed a USP 40 sidearm, the announcement system beeped.
"Attention, all personnel! Report to departure room immediately. I repeat, report to the departure room...
Soon, Leo found himself with many of the other soldiers, listening for an unexpected debriefing from General Brock. He was pointing to a map of the world, a baton tapping various spots on the coast of France. "...a dangerous threat to us. The Bloc has begun building naval missile bases around this area, and plan to shoot here and Canada," explained the officer. "The project commander is thought to be residing in Paris somewhere." Turning to the group, his eyes beamed around at them. "I trust you all know your job: I am sending 60 of you over there. You will land at Dieppe, and travel down the coast to here," pointed the General. "From there, it will up to you to sever communications to the base personnel, destroy the bases, and make your way to the extraction point, which will be at Dieppe. Any questions?" finished the general.
Leo stuck his hand up. "Sir, will there be any reinforcements?" he asked. "60 seems too small a number to be taking on these bases."
At that, the general chuckled. "I forgot to tell you. There will be a squadron of 10 bombers there to pummel the coast 5 minutes right after you land. The surprise attack should give you enough time to make it down there and capture."
Leo nodded in response. "Thank you, sir."

The general nodded in approval. "That's the attitude I want, Sanderson." Brock then turned his attention back to the whole group, his face stern. "Sergeant Crimson and Lieutenant Wilson, come see me after. And bring your aides. Now let's get a move on, we've got a battle to win!" The group of soldiers began moving. Leo got up, and beckoned to Lars. "Come on, the general needs us," he said. Following Brock, he nodded to Lieutenant Frank Wilson, who nodded back. Both men had fought side by side more than once; Leo had even managed one time to get Frank out of a hot zone after he was hit by a stray bullet in Laos. The general led them to the back of the room. Glancing around, Brock spoke to the 4 men.
"You guys will be leading the forces into Dieppe. The transports will be landing on the shore around 0600 to 0610. It should take you no more than 20 minutes to make it down to where we suspect the 1st factory is. By then, the personnel will be in the process of cleaning up the mess," smirked the general. "Each of you will be commanding a transport of 15 men. M60's will be mounted on them, just in case you meet up with any...hostiles. Got that?" finished Brock.
Leo nodded, as did Frank. "Sir, yes sir!" he said. They saluted, then turned and began heading to their respective division. On the way, Leo turned to Lars. "You ready for this?"

"The general is sending us on a mission to Dieppe to destroy possible missile factories being built by the Bloc. I trust you are all ready for this task?"

Once we're inside one of us attaches the bomb to the weapons. Once we're a safe distance away we detonate the bomb. And then the hard part begins: Getting off. Slinging on an MP5 SD, he put a Heckler & Koch USP 40 on his belt, then stood up and looked around at his group. "Well, we're on our way to Europe," said the Marine in a would-be cheerful voice. However, he knew, along with all of them, that this assignment would be one of the dangerous. "Is everyone prepared and armed?" he asked. Glancing behind him, Leo's hand fingered the butt of the USP. Fake turned to Leo, "Give us the flares to signal the helicopter where to land. Is it scheduled to pass by every 2 hours?
OOC: I'm pretty sure we're in a naval transport, not a chopper.
IC: The general turned to Green, whom was cleaning his weapon slowly. Glancing at his watch, Smith answered the question. "You guys will be leaving within the hour. I have a bunch of Humvees fueled and ready to go outside. Is everyone armed and ready?"
Most of the battalion nodded their heads in return. They held polished and, loaded with 30 round magazines, AK-47's. A few of the more expertise veterans were armed with M60's, and long ammunition belts around their chests. Surveying all the soldiers, Mark felt satisfied.
Those Nato boys won't know what hit them when they arrive.----------------------------------------------
As the group roared in agreement to Lars' shouting, Leo reached for his radio. Looking at the distant shore, he keyed the communications device. "This is Crimson to Fireboy 2. How you guys doing?"
-------------------------------------
20 miles away, 2 bombers were flying slowly towards the coast. Both pilots had NVG's and could see perfectly in the darkness of the early morning. "We're all clear, Sergeant," replied Fireboy 2. Acceralating the plane, he double checked his load. 10 pounds of C4 loaded in missiles, ready to be dropped.
"That's good to hear," replied Leo. "Go-ahead."
Without another word, the pilot broke off and raced his plane towards the shore. Tilting it south a bit, Fireboy 2 could see small dots of light.

Nodding, Smith then heard a beeping from his pager. Frowning, he pressed the Enter button and read the short message. After a minute or so, he replaced the device inside his pocket and turned back to the battalion. Smiling, the general began to talk. "I have just received word from Base 3 that there are 2 Nato transports en route to the shore. They are still 20 miles out, which gives you guys over an hour to get to the coast. 2 attack helicopters are being sent out to intercept them, but in case they fail, you guys are all that stands between Nato and the bases." Pausing, Smith gazed around at his men. "Get to the vehicles, and you'll be on your way."
--------------------------------
As the 2 bombers accelerated over the transports and closer to the shores, Fireboy 2 noticed that 2 other blips had suddenly appared on his radar. A moment later, his partner's aircraft exploded. Cursing, the pilot glanced up and saw 2 attack helicopters bearing him. Keying his radio, he made contact with Leo. "This is Fireboy 2. I have to hostiles on my tail- AGH!" Screaming out loud as a round smashed through the window of the cockpit and buried itself in his shoulder, Fireboy 2 tried to keep the plane steady. Pulling out a grenade, he climbed partly out of the small space. As one of the choppers passed by, he ripped the pin out using his mouth and tossed it into the back. At the same time the bomb went off, the chopper fired one of its missiles, destroying the bomber and the pilot.
------------------------
After hearing the pilot's last words, Leo heard and saw the explosions of both craft. Holding up his SD, the sergeant yelled commands to his men. "Stand to, stand to! We've got a hostile! The remaining chopper caught sight of them and began flying down. Pressing the trigger, Leo began spraying in the direction of the chopper, hoping to bring it down somehow before they were all dead.

As he sat in the Humvee and thought about his destiny, Jeremy Green realized how much he supported the Bloc cause. Most of the other soldiers that he talked to seemed hesitant, unwilling. But Green, as well as his close friends, felt otherwise. He was only recently coming to terms with his love of kiling; how calming the sight of blood was, whether it was his own or a soldier from NATO. He realized how his hands were itching, even now. The main thing was, he realized, how much he truly welcomed it. He welcomed these thoughts; he didn't push it to the back of his mind like the rest of his comrades tended to. His NH480 was calling out to him, begging for its bullets to imbed in some nice, warm skin. Soon, he promised the gun. Soon.

IC: Pushing in a fresh clip of armor-penetrating bullets into his AK-47, Hank held his breath, trying to get a steady shot on the helicopter as the ship rocked violently on the merciless waves. He fired bursts into the black shape circling overhead, hoping that his bullets would penetrate the chopper and hit the pilot or at least the engine.

OOC: For clarification in this post, we are in the 2nd transport, the one behind the first one, where Frank Wilson and his soldiers are.
Holding down the trigger, the pilot smiled as his rounds hit the men of the leading ship. Noticing that his men were running out of ammunition, the pilot heard a few shots of automatic fire from the other transport. Then he noticed something. AK...uh-oh. Pulling up, he acted too late, as the rounds penetrated the fuel tank. Unfortunately, somebody had been smoking a few seconds before the battle started, and the cigarette ignited.
Boom.
---------------------------
As the aircraft exploded and debris went flying everywhere, Leo ducked to avoid being hit by one of the pieces of metal. But something else worse hit him, dead in the face. No bombers, they have a full alert. Results: a full man patrol on the coasts, waiting for them to come in. Turning to his crew, the Marine tried to reassure them.
"Okay, that explosion probably set the nearest base on alert. I'm not completely certain they'll have patrols on where we could be landing, but we have to be cautious."
Taking a deep breath, Leo addressed the entire battalion. "I want everyone to put silencers on their weapons. If you've got MP5 SD's, that's great. If not, use a handgun or something." Reloading his gun, Leo watched the burning pieces of the chopper float around on the waves.
----------------------------------------
As the the lead Humvee got closer to the base, the driver suddenly saw a giant explosion in the distance. Aircraft. Hopefully it wasn't one of ours. A few minutes later, his phone rang. Picking up, the man, whom had part of his left ear missing, listened carefully. Hanging up with only a 'Yes, sir.' , he looked at Jeremy and a few of the others in the back.
"Boys, we got trouble. Couple of our choppers spotted 2 Nato bombers and 2 transports coming in. The bombers were destroyed, but our helicopters were busted too. The bases are passing an alert message, and you guys are gonna be stationed at Base 1, the furthest north."

IC: Hearing the orders, Hank reached for his pocket and pulled out a small silencer. He squeezed it on the end of his AK-47 and then began screwing it in. As a precautionary measure, he fitted another silencer onto his sidearm. He put the gun back into it's holster clutched onto his AK-47. He felt sick and nauseated. Pushing his way to the side of the ship, he spew the contents of the last army rations he had for breakfast onto the rough sea.

"Another group will join you here. With any luck, you'll be able to hold the Nato troops back. Good luck." The Bloc soldiers nodded and climbed out of the car. Gripping their weapons tightly, the young men walked towards the base.
------------------------------------
Within a short amount of time, the 2 transports landed on the shore. Kicking open the exit, Leo rushed out onto the beach. Raising his MP5 SD, the soldier was relieved to see it was clear. Walking over to the transport, he was shocked to see Lieutenant Wilson was hurt.
"Chopper?" he asked.
The officer nodded. "I'll have to stay here with 2 of my aides. Take the rest and go on, Leo."
"But sir-"
"That's an order!" ordered Frank, cutting off Leo.
Deciding against protesting, Leo stood to attention and saluted. "Yes, sir!" Leading the battalion over to his own men, the Marine approached them. "Well, boys, I'm now in charge of a 58 man battalion," he informed them. Pointing south towards a group of lights, Leo felt a deep feeling of need to destroy the base. IC:
The grim expressions on the faces of the BLOC's Fifth Battalion matched the dark and gloomy mood that emanated from the atmosphere. Jeremy Green himself stood waiting for something to happen, his NH480 held at the ready, and his combat knife in his pocket itching to be used. The rest of his comrades seemed to be feeling the same way, but their expressions were blank, as if they didn't care what would happen either way. Jeremy smiled to himself. General Smith made a good decision putting these guys on Base 1. In his battalion, there were 100 patriotic and fearless Republicans. They were all going to fight to the end, no matter how it came.
Jeremy began thinking of his family at home, his wife and his daughters, and a wave of sadness overwhelmed him. He had to live through this war. For his family. He gripped his gun tighter.

Taking all possible options into his mind, Leo settled for a compromise between Hank and Lars's ideas. Gathering both battalions around him, the Marine explained his plan. "Okay, here's the plan. Frank's battalion, you guys gather in a bunch of trees. Fire off a few bursts, then escape into the forests. When the personnel are distracted, the rest of my guys will run and take one of the bases. And so on and so forth," he finished. "Any questions?"

Jeremy shifted his feet, anxious for the war to begin. There was an uneasy silence surrounding the battalion as the soldiers waited for something to happen.

Name: Stanislaff Georgiff
Age: 41
Gender: Male
Appearance: Black hair, grey eyes, scars on face, no smile.
Weapons: Silenced Ruger MK II .22 LR, knife, silenced mp5
Personality: Cold. Rarely smiles unless required. He doesn't enjoy confronting enemies head to head.
Military side: MKRC
Special Skill: Assassination, night combat.
Other Details (keep it short): He is weak when it comes to hand to hand combat though he is a professional in the silent assassination style. As a child he was more lively but many killings have made him cold and quiet.
-Suddenly a middle aged man came out gasping for breath. He looked up curiously then stood up straight. There was a glint in his eye.
"Stamosaff Georgiff, at your service. I see you probably need some help. Am I correct?"
The man's coal black hair waved in the gentle breeze. He seemed calm but there was something strange in his eye. Something quite eerie.
