My brother has been getting into photography lately and he needs criticism so I decided to post them on here seeing as Sal's artsy crew usually know what they're talking about.
All of the following were taken by my brother, feel free to rate but he's mostly looking for genuine opinions.
All of these were taken around his neighborhood and the girl's name is Ericka, she's his girlfriend.
There's 10 pictures total so watch out if you have a slow computer.

Impressive, I'd post mine but the pics are

They're good. Not extraordinary good, but good enough. I'd just try to play with light effects a little more, and a little more contrast too make the picture get a little more artistic. Perhaps adding a certain concept to the pictures might also be a good idea (even though that's pretty hard).
But they're good, tell your brother he did a good job so far.

They're pretty good, but the lighting in the bird one ruins a lot of the draw. Try nailing the bird down and cutting down the tree

The pictures seem to get better and better. Oh and a tip! I read somewhere that it's best to take pictures about an hour before the sun sets, because theres still light, but the shadows are sharper and longer than usual.

My favorite one was the one with the bird. Just looking at it relaxed me.

1. Nice. Not extraordinary, but elegant.
2. Seems like more of a friendly photo than an artistic photo.
3. I like this one. I wish the black thing wasn't there, though. Same with the bin off to the far right.
4. Great photo.
5. I like this idea, and he almost has it put into effect. I don't like the choice of background though.
6. Another great photo.
7. Good. Sort of dull, though.
8. I think this one's more friendly than artistic, as well as the second one.
9. Same as 8 and 2.
10. Strange. Not a huge fan of it. I don't get why he took a picture of it, but each to his own.
There we go, my little critique. Overall, very good for a start. Some of those photos look near professional.

The skateboard one is definitely my favorite out of all of them.
Does he edit them in Photoshop or just leaves them alone the way it is?

To be honest, I don't think any of them are special in any way. I mean, they're not bad, but just not exceptional. My fav's are the first picture with the bird, and the one with the shoe on the skateboard.
