Back when we launched the Chosen Commander quest in March, we quietly released a small number of limited edition hoodies, to see how many of you had eyes sharp enough to spot the new addition to the store.
These hoodies feature the mark of Bandos (which you may remember from Zanik’s forehead) and the face of Bandos himself!
For those unfamiliar with Bandos, he is the god of goblins, orks, ogres, and other brutal creatures (many of which are mercifully extinct). He identifies himself as a god of war, and the goblins refer to him as the ‘Big High War God’. The origins of his symbol aren't known, but it has been used to represent Bandos at least as long as he has had an influence on RuneScape.
We now want to makes sure everyone has the chance to own a little piece of RuneScape’s history, so we’re giving them another release for a limited time, after which they will never be made again. We’ve still got a few hoodies left from the original batch made in March, so if you want to get one now is your last chance, as once they are gone they will never be made again.
Head over to the store now to see the
Chosen Commander hoodie.

To be honest, for a RuneScape item it doesn't look half bad.

The hoodies look kinda cool, now if only they had them in game, we could run around and vandalise Varrock! In game spray cans would also be nice... Just waiting for some guy to come along and do a fake of that... In fact, in-game spray cans is quite a good idea... Might start a suggestion thread on that one.

Do people seriously buy these? I don't know anybody that would spend money on that.

I was considering it seriously. I doubt people would actually recognize it as a RuneScape or Jagex item considering it doesn't exactly have "RuneScape" or "Jagex" directly on it as a label.

I wouldn't be caught dead with a runescape logo on my back
EDIT: Bandos symbol = RuneScape symbol...
People would ask and what do you say? "Uhh...it's a band?"

You do have to admit it looks extremely similar to the logos for some bands. Or you could just say, it's something you just liked the look of

.
Honestly though, I've never seen someone ask what the logo on their shirt means.

I don't really see why they are doing this other than to cash in on obsessed Runescapers.

Obsession has nothing to do with buying a product with the JaGEx logo on it in my vantage point. The clothes are more of a mementos of the game to me (and a form of subliminal advertising). Most people fear getting the shirt/hoodie/whatever because the product is advertising Runescape and people seem to get the idea that it is a game not really accepted by people in their society (such as in school).

That's the main reason why I question making a store. But I bet the accessories like mouse, mug etc sell quite loads because you less people will notice.

For an RS item, it's pretty good. However, I'm actually not a fan of the hoodie's black/white scheme.

Back In the 90's when I was in highschool I wore my magic the gathering t-shirt with pride..... somehow I feel that a 30yr old wearing a runescape hoodie might be just a little disturbing LOL (yeah i'm that old, check profile)

Wow, that's actually a pretty awesome design. o.O
The only reason I wouldn't wear it is because I'd hate to have somebody come up to me and go 'Hey, isn't that from Runescape?' Just because I don't like discussing Runescape that much irl. (Not because it isn't 'cool', a lot of my friends actually play / have played Runescape. I just don't like to discuss it irl and like to talk about different things.

)
Kinda a pity because I actually do like the design

Although I don't really get the use of the '150' under the bandos symbol.

Or how many people unknowingly wear t-shirts with kanji reading something to the extent of "the wearer of this shirt is an inane dork"...

Heh, I can see that conversation unfolding:
"Hey sweet hoody dude, what is it?"
"It's Bandos, he's the god of goblins in a medi-evil online role playing game"
"...Right"
"But... The goblins call him 'Big High War God'!?"
"Give me your wallet"
Seriously, this is the thread Jagex need to read. lulz

tbh i don't know why jagex still releases these kind of items. i mean, the chances for 1 in 100 wearing one is pretty slim.
there will always be people who will buy and wear the stuff... by they are the unnoticed minority xD
