For centuries, the land of Anciena has existed under the rule of the Ruojuot family, in peace and prosperity. Long ago, however, a man by the name of Corromp rose through the ranks of Anciena's military until he had reached the very top, as general. He conquered, corrupted, and destroyed, but when the king realized his doings, he banished him from Anciena. Angered, Corromp disappeared from existence for quite a long time after that, and everyone eventually thought he was dead, but this was not the case. He reappeared later on, long after any normal man would have died. It was then discovered that Corromp had hidden in the shadows, searching for, learning, and then practicing forbidden and long forgotten dark magic until he was a master at it. He gathered men worthy to his cause and forced as many others as he could to fight for him, also summoning dark and demonic beings from other worlds to do the same. For years afterwards, the king of Anciena, who is King Espoirab, and Corromp, now called Emperor Corromp, fought against each other like feral dogs fighting over a scarp of meat after not eating for days. But the King was losing the war as the Empire slowly grew, overpowering the Kingdom and spreading a rule of terror. Realizing this was true, the King uncovered his secret weapon... The Elementals.
The Elementals are a group of magical warriors who, when they were young, decided upon an emotion they would use to fuel their power. The emotion they chose became so strong over the course of their training that it overpowered all the other emotions, and eventually that emotion became their only one. Although lots of "normal" people think this is a form of mindwash and strongly oppose it, it enlightens the Elementals. They become great philosophers and poets, and they are good at psychiatry in the area that concerns their emotion. They can also use this emotion as a powerful source for fueling their magic and strength. And that's why they're the greatest magic-ones in the land. The King threatened to unleash the Elementals on the Emperor if he didn't step down. Angered, the Emperor disobeyed and began training his own Elementals, personally. And although they didn't have as much time to train as the King's Elementals, the Emperor's Elementals are savage, brutal, and merciless, and using the dark arts the king uncovered and taught them, they have become quite powerful. Now both the Emperor and the King have commanded their Elementals to go intercept each other and to destroy the other Elementals.
This is where you come in. In this RP, your character will be an Elemental, and it can be on either side. You can have up to two characters. One an "evil" Elemental and one a "good" Elemental. But not two "good" Elementals or two "evil" Elementals. Remember that this is a medieval-fantasy roleplay, so you can be any kind of fantasy-type race and you can have magic. Don't make your character too powerful, however. And no two people can have the same emotion for their character on each side. So there can be an anger on the "evil" side and an anger on the "good" side, but there can't be two angers on the "good" side, etc.

Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: Kingdom
Character Description: Isaac is a human male from the city of Rappela. When he was small, he and his father were fishermen, and during their fishing trips, his father would tell him stories of heroes and villains. Stories which inspired Isaac. When he was slightly older, his father died in battle after joining the military of Anciena. When he was slightly more older, his mother died of a strange disease. Having nowhere to go, he wandered the land, becoming a rogue and a thief, much to his dismay, yet he had to do it to survive. He continued to wander like this until a hermit observed him and took him under his wing. It turns out that the hermit was one of the ancient and long thought dead order of Runecasters. His name was Sansno, and he taught Isaac all he knew about the art until he died of old age, when Isaac was a yound adult. The Runecasters were an order of magical warriors who drew their power from symbols, written words, spoken words, glyphs, and runes. He began wandering the land again, only this time he brought justice to the land. The King noticed his doings and invited him to his castle. There he told him of the secret Elementals and asked him if he'd like to become one. Isaac accepted and he became "Hope." Since then he's trained as an Elemental and become much more powerful than before, and now he's one of the Elementals who's to go and intercept the Emperor's Elementals. Isaac has slicked back black hair, but no facial hair. His eyes are a bright blue, and his skin is pale. He's tall, slightly more muscular than average, and slender. All over his back, his arms, and the sides of his face, there are swirling black tattoos. He wears pale blue clothing. Over that he wears plate armor that covers all but his head. It's white, flexible, strong, and has slightly glowing blue swirls and runes all over it. For a weapon, he carries a mace that's made of a white metal, and it too has slightly glowing blue swirls and runes all over it.

I take it the emotions can be happy, sad, angry, etc.
You listed "hope" as an emotion, so I will use determination and anger as my two (one good, one evil). If those do not count as emotions, please tell me what does.
Here are my two applications (as you said we could have one good, one evil)
First Application (good charactor):
Emotion: Determination.
Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: (I assume Kingdom means following the King?) Kingdom Elemental.
Character Description:
Name: John Kasagowa.
Race: Elf.
As long as John can remember, he could not recall ever having parents. Because of this, he was an outcast. What he could recall (besides being an outcast), was that he grew up in a wealthy town. However, for reasons unknown to him, the elders of the village avoided him, as did their kids, and in the case of some of them, grandchildren. Because of this, John grew up not only as an outcast, but as a lonely child. It also did not help that he continued to be abnormally tall for his age (no matter his age). At the age of ten, a traveling merchant came into the town, knowing that it was rich, and hoping to make a huge profit. John helped him unload his cargo from the wagon. Seeing how the other townsfolk avoided John, and the ragged state he was in, the merchant took pity on him and offered him a job as a semi-servant. Eager to be rid of the town, John accepted. The fact that the merchant was human, John cared little about. For the next six years, the merchant and John traveled from town to town, with each-stop John was taught more and more about how to be a sucessful merchant. Eventually the merchant adopted John as his son, and gave John his last name, as John did not have one. However, this fate was not to be. On a trip to a far land the merchant was attacked and killed, feeling angry at the loss of the closest thing John had to family, and determined to avenge the merchants death, John felt a strange power. However, this power disipated as quick as it came, and John was overpowered easily and was almost killed, however he survived and has a large scar running diagonally across his back. John eventually made his way to the kingdom where he was trained by the King in the use of his power. Ever sence that day John has been determined to do the best he can, and be acknowleged, so that the merchants name is remembered by all, and never forgotten. At present day, John is sixteen and stands at six-foot two, and is continueing to grow. Under the training as a Kings Elemental, John has harnished power over water and fire. He has thick blackhair he wears in a braid, he has piercing blue-green eyes that reflect his mood. He normally wears longsleaved clothing, so as to conceal weaponry easily, if he should need, normally in the darker colors, although he does not care if the colors are bright, or not. Across his back he has a two-handed sword.
2. (Evil application)
Emotion: Anger
Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: Empire.
Character Description:
Name: Robbert Pierce (if I do not like the first name, may I change it? Perhaps to Elliot or something else).
Race: Elf.
A lonely boy, Robbert knew something was different in him from birth. At the age of eight he killed his first victim, the towns bullying major sargent at arms (who was also the governor of the town, and, like most of his soldiers, happened to be human,) who came to his parents house at dinner, at the head of twenty of his most evil soldiers, to demand increased payment. His father refused, and when the governor went for his sword, little Robbert felt a strange twisting fire in his torso. Anger at the impudence of this man, but something else too. Instinctively Robbert reached his hand towards the governor. The governor started flailing about wildly, grasping at his throat asthough an invisible hand was choking him. Then his hands, and arms, went limp, but he remained standing. The men took one look at the motionless sargent, then at the child with his outstreached arms, before turning and fleeing the house. Shakeing and scared by the suddenless of events, and still not understanding what happened Robbert lowered his outsreatched arm. The sargent crashed to the ground, face first, with a sickening crack. The strange feeling in Robberts gut left him. Was that me. Robber thought? Then Robbert fainted. Years past and everytime Robbert got angry, someone in the village (the person who made him angry) would die. Eventually Robbert realized that it was him doing it, but not before half of the village had died. Word of Roberts power eventually reached the Empirer, determined to have such a child (Robbert was 14 at the time) in his army, The Empirerer sent his best men to capture Robbert, they did so, returning him to the empirer. Another year past, and undert the corrupting brainwashing of the Empirerer Robbert became more and more twisted. It was also under the teachings that Robbert learned about his strange gift. While still not fully understanding it, Robbert's power has grown, as his patence has decreased, to be replaced with being quick to get angry and take offence. Robbert has prefected the methods of killing with other weapons and to that end he weilds twin daggers in combat. He stands at five foot six and has coal black eyes that show no emotion. He has jet black shoulder length hair, and wears jet black clothing.

Yes, I mean the Kingdom as in the one ruled by the King. And you can change your name (As long as you don't change it to the exact same name as someone else's character. That would be kind of confusing) if you want, but tell me when you do, so I don't get confused. And both you (John Adams) and MrBone77 are accepted.

Character Description:
Vivienne "Vivi" LaCoup
Vivi grew up in a Monastery and has practiced magic and meditation all her life. She is well trained in hand to hand combat and fights better without a weapon than most people can with one, though she wields a staff carved from a beam from the Monastery where she grew up. Her connection with the wood as a place of sanctity and calm heightens her inner peace and strengthens her defensive attacks and shield spells.
When she was 16 a group of anti-religious punks tried to burn down the Monastery but her spells and fighting skills drove them away. She took this as her god's sign to her to travel.
At the age of 25 the king learned of her, a roaming vigilante going from town to town protecting those who needed her help. He asked for her help, and initially refused, but saw this as an opportunity to aid the Greater Good, and realizes that if she were to help the king she could end a myriad of people's sufferings.
She is well versed in healing magic as well and knows much about the medicinal and magical properties of plants, animals, and fungi.
She has shortly cut brown hair, a David Bowie-esque face, slender features, and is of average height. Her eyes are a plain brown and her skin is tanned from years of traveling and sleeping outside. She carries with her a staff, a hunting knife, and a bag with various other survival supplies.

Apathy is lack of emotion; from Leo's choices, it would seem much more likely that his Emotion should be something like Honor, Faithfulness, or something else "honorable and noble." I imagine Apathy would be somewhat more gloomy or empty(not as in darkness, but as in lack of anything, like a void). Not to mention Apathy would likely be with the Empire (seeing as it's a darker "emotion" as far as I see it).
Bah, now I want Apathy as my evil character... Good thing I haven't made any apps yet. Soz for people who want to use the Emotions I picked and have yet to app for.... If someone is in dire need, they can take Fear (causing it), since I'm probably gonna neglect the emotion.

Well, I would be willing to accept apathy as a character's emotion. Since an Elemental can learn to feel nothing but one emotion, then I'm sure they can learn to feel nothing. And I didn't think that apathy necessarily has to be evil. There have been some good characters in literature, movies, etc. that have had no emotions. Mostly androids, like Data from Star Trek.
And yes, you can be a dwarf. I said in the third paragraph that you can be any fantasy-type race. And, if you're a dwarf and you still want to keep apathy as your emotion, then you're accepted, Leo.

OoC: Yeah, that's fine.
IC: At the edge of the city of Anora, the King gazed at the group of his Elementals gathered before him, his wise and fatherly eyes regarding them with a great understanding that no one else could ever hope to fathom. Far away, at the heart of the Empire, the Emperor also stood before a group of his Elementals, his cold and empty eyes regarding them with a horrible hatred that would drive any other man mad. As if in unison, they both began to speak.
"Friends and allies," began the King.
"Scum of the Earth," began the Emperor.
"It is now time-" continued the King.
"Destiny calls us-" continued the Emperor.
"To brandish our weapons of hope and sacrifice to vanquish the darkness from the land, that which has wronged us so."
"To arms to take part in that war which we all call 'life.'"
"I do not have much to say, except that I'm sure you will be able to vanquish the evil Elementals, because you have had years of training and you all, hopefully, have embraced the peace that should be in your hearts."
"I am not a man of words. I am a man of actions. But I tell you this: When you engage the "good" Elementals, do not show mercy. It is for the weak, and if you cannot manage to destroy them, do not bother coming back. You will have failed me. You should be able to do so, since I have opened up my knowledge of demonic powers to you."
"Goodbye, and good luck." finished the King.
"Get lost." finished the Emperor.
Isaac nodded an silently said goodbye to the one who had mentored him for so long. Then he nodded to the others, saying, "Let's go, guys. This is the moment we make our presence known to the world." Then he walked through the gate of the city and continued along the path, moving away from the city and towards the Empire. He walked slow enough as to give time to the others to say goodbye to the King and then catch up.

Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: Kingdom
Character Description:
Erin Clause is a young human boy that was born near the outskirts of the Kingdom in a small chapel. At the time, his mother, who was shamed by her family for having a child so young, was the daughter of the Head Priest of the temple that held the chapel in which he was born. He was taken in by his grandfather and grandmother after his mother, left by her lover and shunned by her family, threw herself over a cliff; however, he was too young to know his mother before this, so he felt no sorrow over it. The priests and priestesses of the temple taught him how to heal from a young age, focusing more on a person's aura than using magic to teach, as many were unable to even use magic.
As Erin continued to excel in using auras to heal, an aging wizard visited the temple. He came across several of the healers who he claimed could use magic and asked for them to travel with him. With the consent of the High Priest, three young priestesses, a slightly older priest, and the young Erin set out with the wizard. The five were taught by the wizard over the years, each learning a certain form of magic. However, the wizard's age finally caught up with him and he died. While three members of the group, two of the priestesses and Erin, decided to stay together for a time, the other two went their separate ways--Erin discovered later that, while one was now deceased, they had both decided to join the Empire.
As the group of three young mages traveled throughout the Kingdom, hoping to make it to the king's palace and offer themselves as personal healers, they were attacked by a group of Elementals working for the Empire. While one of the priestesses was taken, Erin and the other escaped unharmed, for the most part.
Within a month, they made it to the palace. When they offered themselves up as healers, they were taken into the ranks of the Elementals instead, the reasoning being that they would be greater help to the Kingdom that way.
At the current time, Erin is only sixteen years old. He normally wears his light brown hair somewhat long and messy. His eyes, a faded light blue, almost seem to reflect the sky above. He is rather short, standing near 5'3", and has a slim figure. Although his emotion is "Innocence," he seems to still be somewhat emotional through it; he is often seen with expressions of worry, fear, and, rarely, happiness, as he is able to hide them poorly. Often, Erin wears a long-sleeved jacket made of treated leather and a somewhat loose shirt--both are a bright white and lined with gold threading (at the throat, cuffs, and edges of the jacket, and just at the throat of the shirt [dunno why I'm explaining it -_-' ]). Along with it, he wears white leggings, also lined with gold, and white leather boots, both of which have turned a light grey over time from dirt and use. When traveling, he wears a white cloak, the back of which is marked by a flowing silver rune that shines in the sunlight. Strapped to his waist is a short, sharp pointed knife, which he uses sometimes with healing. He also has many small pouches on his belt with different herbs and medicines.
As Erin has been taught from a young age that violence is never the answer, he tries to be pacifist at all times. This is seen both in his emotion, Innocence, and in his magic ability: besides being able to heal, he has the power to create force fields and barriers. As an offensive measure, for when he rarely needs it, he has the power to push the barriers away from him and around him (it's similar to telekenises, though it only works with the barriers and fields)
Emotion: Joy/Anticipation (Happy Excitedness? Trying to think of a word for it...) The best words I can find on the list (link above by MrBone, thank you) would be Eagerness, Excitement, Enthusiasm, and a whole mess of other E's... I guess the closest thing would be a Lust for Violence (anyone know a single word for it?) EDIT: Bloodlust
Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: Empire
Character Description:
Ever since a young age, Lex Annel has clearly been sadist; whenever he was bored, he would chase chickens with a stick, throw rocks at horses, crush ants, and kick puppies (NOT THE PUPPIES!!!)
Lex Annel, the Elemental of Enthusiasm, has an odd way of expressing his chosen emotion. While he was once quiet and well-mannered, in recent years he has let his true self loose; he is a savage man, with a deep love of bloodshed, who always seems to be wearing a grin.
Though Lex keeps to himself about his past, it is known that he has always been quiet and studious. He lived a healthy, normal life, never doing anything that would seem violent or out of the ordinary, until he happened upon magic.
When Lex was in his early twenties, he discovered that he could make copies of himself (he called them Shadows since they're silhouettes made of pure energy) that would do as he wished. As he began to use the power more and more, becoming dependant on it, his lust for strength increased. Eventually, he decided that the only way to achieve power was through the deaths of others. He sent out his Shadows to kill anyone and everyone that could be deemed a threat to his power. Unfortunately, he hadn't been thinking about his loved ones at this time. A week later, when he went to visit his family, he found them dead, lying in their dry blood, his Shadow standing next to them.
Out of pure hate for himself, Lex decided that he must repent for his actions and began to attempt to kill himself. However, each attempt was stopped by his Shadows, who were more and more often disobeying his commands. After a time, he realized that the Shadows were alive as well, each one taking a different side of his personality. As he delved further into it, he discovered that one of the Shadows, who was lustful for combat and bloodshed, a side he had been repressing, had broken free and taken control of him, making him lust for power and kill his family.
Finally understanding the truth, Lex knew that the Shadow would have to be killed. He brought it forth and attempted to kill it; however, without his deep lust for combat, he was left weak and uncertain, and the Shadow easily defeated him. It took control of his conciousness, making Lex how he is today.
Lex is a rather tall man, standing at about 6'3", but stands hunched over a bit, making him near 6'. He always seems to be grinning darkly, which matched the lustful look that often comes to his cyan eyes. While his hair color is black, he shaved his head years ago. He often wears light leather armor over his chest and legs, leaving his arms, which are covered in scars, open. To either side of his leather belt, Lex wears a long dagger, its handle wrapped in bloody cloths. On his back is a long broadsword, though he rarely seems to use it; it is rumored he only uses it on those he deems worthy opponents, and would rather fight unarmed against a weak opponent than use it. Along with his Shadows, Lex has the power to use magic on its own--his most often used form of magic, both by him and his Shadows, seems to be lightning.
There. I kinda based Lex on my character from Six Kingdoms (the psycho crazy guy), though this time he isn't as invincible.

I guess his is Bloodlust then.
IC: Erin stood near the back of the crowd, his face hidden for the most part by his cloak. Behind the hood, his eyes were filled with nervousness and fear. Everywhere around him--or, around the Elementals, that is--people were cheering, thinking the Elementals were unstoppable. This only made Erin feel worse. He sighed a bit of relief as the crowds began to disperse. He moved to the side of the crowd, hoping to pick out someone he had met in the past two years of training, but was having no luck.
OOC: Yeah, not much to post.... -_-'
IC: Lex, or rather, the Shadow that had taken control of him, had a dark grin on his face as he sat atop a stone pedestal to the side of the group of Elementals, each moving about with anticipation. He had his hands clasped in front of him, focusing his magic into his Shadows, which were dispersed amongst the crowd; each had chosen the appearance of one of the many he had killed in his long life, so as to not draw attention to themselves. As he sat there, his Shadows sent messages back to him, showing him either the faces of possible allies and threats or letting him hear whispered conversations from other members of the crowd. The smile deeped slightly as the Emporer finished his speech. So the killing shall start once again... But this time, they will not run. They will fight until they die.... Won't this be fun?!

Lars staid back and soon as the king stopped speaking he walked up to a nearby roof and jumped on top and closed his eyes and began to think. "So Herald isn't here. Well that means he must be on the Empire's side. Well that is good that means I can help the Kingdom and make sure their death is not in vain." His masters face and his fellow schoolmate's face flashed in his face. "They must be avenged. That murder can not escape. He has taken so much. I've lost everything." He began to feel his power well up and he then tried using the technique his master taught him to ignore his magic welling up and put it back down.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Herald let a evil grin appear on his face and then he made a fist and said to himself. "So today will begin the end of the kingdom. I'll make sure it happens and kill them all. Lars can not do anything like this I for once have bested him. It will the beginning of many things. The begin of the Empire's rule over the whole land. Begin peace to the land under absolute rule. And the beginning of me being better then anyone else, including Lars."

Vivi read the nervousness on Erin's face. She squeezed his shoulder and said, "It is going to be OK, child. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Just do what you can when you can. But we have to beware, because we're the only healers."
She stopped talking because she heard a noise in the woods. Probably an animal. couldn't have been the sound of someone following them, though the thought never left her mind and she stayed alert. Calm, yet alert.
The noise came again. Had to be someone following them, she lept into the top of a tree to see what it was. But it only was an animal, a medium sized cat, just seemed to be going in the same direction as them.
Still, it could have been a trickery of some sort.
She rejoined the group unnoticed and stayed alert.
Edit - I think I forgot to mention in my app that Vivi can move very quickly, due to her connection with the element of air. Doesn't really matter though.

So wait... where are we exactly then? I was assuming a courtyard or something, which might have smaller buildings around it (pertaining to Mr Bone's post) though I doubt there would be trees (pertaining to Divide's post), unless we all left and have split up into groups (which I'll just assume). Oh well.
IC: Erin nodded to himself and smiled at Vivi before looking back down at the ground. As he tried to think of an appropriate way to express his gratitude, he looked up and discovered she had disappeared. A faint smile touched his lips as he looked back down, feeling a cold chill come over him. He lifted his gaze barely, just so he could see the tree tops several yards ahead, forming a tunnel of nature that surrounded the group, letting in only brief glimpses of unblocked sunlight. He was near the back of the group, though not at the very rear, and as such was mostly alone--most of the group was near the front, crowded together, each trying to be on the front lines should an attack come. If someone attacks us, wouldn't they more likely attack from the sides, if not the back? As he looked behind him, towards the group of dispersed Elementals, he felt a tinge of fear. He quickened his pace slightly, placing him closer to a small group of others who were chatting casually.
OOC: I think we kinda need the characters to meet... Apparently Vivi and Erin know each other, which would kinda make sense if as they're both healers and have more defensive magics, but I wonder if the others would know each other.
IC: Lex grinned once more as he jumped down from the pillar, landing with a heavy thud as he hit the stone courtyard below; while the jump would have likely injured a normal person, his magic easily kept that from happening. While two of the Shadows quickly disappeared, their information, strength, and magic rejoining Lex's, the many others remained in the crowd, which was just beginning to disperse. He noticed that several of the Elementals were beginning to open portals and rifts, likely either leading to a village they planned to raid or near the "good" Elementals. His eyes grew filled with hate, though he continued to smile, as he thought about the Elementals containing "good" emotions. Those fools. No doubt their emotions are things like "peace" and "pacifism." For all the good those'll do them in a fight. What can "joy" do to help you in a fight to the death? As he realized that Bloodlust was a "joy" for the spilling of blood, he let out a high-pitched laugh, which echoed throughout the crowd, joining the myriad of screams and shouts.

Ooc : I thought that in Scorp's post he had said that we had just left the city gates and were heading towards the Empire. I can change what I wrote though. I was just assuming that all the Elements knew each other because they had trained together for a while. And that they were all in one group.
I want Vivi to be a bit of a caring motherly figure though, because it seems like every character has lost their parents or grown up without them. And she is one of the older members of the group.

John looked back at the King, He can wish us goodluck, after-all, he is not the one fighting.... John turned and started weaving a path towards towards the gate Weaving his way through the crowd he saw a boy, walking a little ways off, looking downcast. As John approached he slapped Erin heartily on the back, "Come on," John said "Work your hardest, and no one will think baddly of you." John turned and continued walking towards the gate where he thought all the other elementals were supposed to meet.
Robbert:
Robbert stood at the edge of the crowd, idily tossing one of his daggers up and down, first catching it by the tip of the blade, then catching it by the handle. Come on! When will this be over?! Finally the speech was concluded and Robbert turned and walked towards to exit to the village.

IC: After the King finished his speech, Leo began heading towards the gate. Inside, the dwarf felt a kind of satisfaction growing as he headed out to what could be one of the most destructive battles of all time. Taking a deep breath, he shouldered his weapon and walked towards a group of other Elementals. Keep all emotions outside of your mind. Apathy is the best medicine, Leo reminded himself. Sighing, his mind traveled back to that day, which changed his life completely. Stopping at the group, he tried to engage in some conversation.

Isaac stopped suddenly when he felt a disturbance. The air in front of him began to distort, then a bright orb of red light slightly bigger than a man appeared in front of him. Crackling energy shot out of it and harmlessly passed through the environment around it. Then a man stepped through, wearing black and green clothing, and the orb began to dissipate. The man, with a stunned expression, looked at Isaac and the others. He muttered, so no one else could hear him, "I found them?" and then he said aloud, "I found them!" before turning back to his orb and placing his hand on it. He tried to keep it from dissipating for as long as possible, and before long, more men similarly darkly clothed like the first man jumped out of the orb before it dissipated completely. All of this happened in moments, and at first Isaac didn't know what was going on. Then he realized that they were imperial Elementals and lunged at them. He swung his mace downwards at one of the Elemental's heads, and it dented his helmet before sliding off. The Elemental punched Isaac in the gut, but only hit his armor, and the Elemental cursed before sending a blast of green energy at Isaac, knocking him back several feet. Then he noticed that the other imperial Elementals had lunged at the other Elementals who were with Isaac. Without paying any more attention to this, he lunged again at the Elemental who had blasted him and traced a symbol in the air with his finger, and it began to glow a light blue before it blasted at the imperial Elemental. It twisted and turned into a long rope of pure energy, and it wrapped around the imperial Elemental and began to squeeze the life out of him.

John felt the air change, almost as if the entire air around him had suddenly had a electric spark pass through it. There was a flash of red, near one of the elementals, then a man stepped through. Although John was too far away to hear what he was saying, the man turned his back on the elemental, then more men in similar clothing stepped through. "Imperials," John hissed, he counted seven. One on seven, John thought, He will need my help. Determination surged through John's body, bringing with it a wave of power. I am to far to help him with my blade at this time, John thought, quickening his pace towards his fellow elemental, But I can help in other ways. A spark of fire ignited on the tip of his left index finger, soon it covered his entire hand. John threw it at the closest imperial, the man dodged, but not quick enough, the fire cought the hem of his shirt sleave and began to burn, soon covering his entire sleave. One distracted, John thought, as the man dropped his weapon as he fell to the ground and rolled over and over to put out the fire. John summoned another small fire ball and threw it at the imperial encloseing, from behind, on the elemental. This time it was a direct hit, and cought the man in the back of his head. The fireball was not big enough to kill him, it was, however, enough to light his closely cropped hair on fire, and the hem of his cotton shirt, barely peaking out from under the imperials armor. The man hurredly began stripping his metal plate from him while screaming aloud in pain. Two distracted, John thought Six to go.
EDIT:
Robbert noticed a small group of men, at the edge of the crowd, prepairing to depart. He weaved his way through the crowd, towards them, " Where are you guys going?" He asked them. "We are the first strike team, assigned to stopping the enemy elementals." The man who Robbert took to be their leader responded, very proud of his assignment. More like meatshields, Robbert thought, but he kept such thoughts to himself. "Ah, is that so? And when do you depart?" Robbert asked, careful to keep his voice calm, although he wanted very much to strangle the smug man. Suddenly a red portal opened up and the faint image of a man, or what Robbert thought to be a man, beckoned from the otherside. "Now," the man said, with a small smerk. With that, the group departed, and the void closed behind them. Those fools, they will not last long, if any of the rumors about the Royal elementals are true. Robbert thought to himself. [i]Still, those fools got what they deserved.

Emotion: Fear
Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: Empire
Character Description:
Dominic’s interest in fear began as early as his first day on the earth; he did not cry when the doctor spanked him; he didn’t breathe, either. After about three minutes of his noble parents in an uproar, Dominic breathed his first breaths, smoothly and easily. The doctor kept quiet as Dominic’s parents cooed over their newborn, but he could swear their was a glint in his eye and the baby giggled and twisted his mother’s finger as hard as he could. As Dominic grew older, his pranks became less and less playful, until the pranks became so cruel, peasant lives were being taken. As they saw their beautiful child becoming corrupted, Dominic’s parents had no choice. They locked him away in a tower, never to see the light of day again. Dominic amused himself by imprisoning birds and various wildlife that sang by the only window in the entire tower, and by constantly searching for an exit. Dominic was an exceptionally smart boy, and the morning his parents came to feed him his birthday dinner, he was gone, off towards the Empire. Ever since, he has been refining his power, being ruthless in his fighting and instilling fear in all who oppose him, and even a few of his own allies.
Dominic is one behemoth of a man, standing at exactly 7’3”, with dark skin and rippling muscles on his entire body, a tan required from spending a great many days traveling. He wears a dark robe without a hood, and carries his weapons underneath them, never revealing his true power until it is much too late. Dominic can see a person’s greatest fears, and he can change it into reality that can never be defeated until the fear is gone.
Emotion: Fortitude
Empire or Kingdom Elemental?: Kingdom
Character Description:
Rose was Dominic’s younger sister, and she seemed to be his only companion for an extremely long time. While her parents were afraid to be in the same town as him when he escaped, Rose would escape the humdrum castle and visit him; she loved the adrenaline that coursed through her veins as she witnessed the horrors that Dominic kept in his small tower room, and she even managed to convince him to free a small bluebird that Dominic was thinking about ripping its wings off. She could also tell that Dominic loved her, even though it seemed she was the only one he truly loved. When he told her he was planning to run away, she supported the idea. Even young Rose knew that his true place was with the Empire. From her talks with him, she learned a deal about resisting fear, in turn, Dominic learned how to better combat courage. To her dying day, she would forever recall the last day, his birthday. He was crying in the corner of the room, all of his various experiments had been freed. She sat by him, a concerned look on her face. She had never seen him cry. He turned to her, his face damp, as he explained how he tried to change, he tried to show pity to everything and everyone, and it was tearing him apart inside… He stared at the ground. He said it was hard for him to explain, but he could only follow the path his heart showed him. Rose nodded, putting a hand on his shoulder, and even encouraging him in his path, even though she knew their paths would someday cross again.
Rose is much shorter than her brother, 5’3” tall, and is much whiter as well. She is not as well muscled, but she has very quick feet, and she doesn’t exactly back down from a fight.

Dominic IC:
Dominic walked away, his back to the King. This war bored him. Too much face to face fighting, and not enough fighting with those delicious "Good" Elementals with their weakened mindset. Dominic put his hood up, a rare occurence, and began to nap underneath the tree. He was disappointed he was not put in the earlier waves, but later rethought his thinking as he realized their true purpose. He chuckled to himself. Well, at least I'm not a meat shield...
As he slept, several Elementals whispered amongst each other as they gossiped about Dominic just like little schoolchildren. Slowly opening an eye, Dominic listened as they wove outrageous stories about Dominic's cruelty. He took a deep breath in, savoring the moment. Nothing was beter than knowing those who fought with you had a healthy dose of fear inside of them, enough to where they wouldn't stab you in the back when you weren't looking. He rose suddenly, startling the Elementals. Dominic grinned a smile at them. "Good morning, boys. Which one of you woke me up from my nap, may I ask?"
The smallest of the three promptly pointed to the middle-sized one. "Him, sir."
Dominic's hands were wrapped around his neck in a heartbeat. "What was that? Why so quick to sell out your brothers, boy? It's a shame things like you are on our side because there's nothing I love more than killing a traitor."
The boy swallowed; Dominic could feel his adam's apple bobbing up and down. He slammed the boy into a tree, pinning him there with a single arm. "You're lucky that I slept long enough already, boy. Would you like to know why?"
The boy was silent; he couldn't even breathe. Dominic laughed.
"Because had you woken me up earlier, I would've snapped your scrawny little neck in half." he dropped the boy onto the ground. "Don't let me see you again, boy. Next time I won't be half as charitable as I was today, understand?" As the trio ran, Dominic put his hood back over his face, hiding the smile which hadn't left since Dominic opened his eyes. It was good to be feared.
Rose IC:
Everywhere was chaos, panic. And then there was Rose. Rose was walking through the village, admiring how the common townspeople built up their defenses against the Imperial Elementals. The old feeling of adrenaline was back, and it filled her with power. She smiled sweetly at a man who was carrying much more than he could handle, and gently pried the largest of the objects out of his hands, beckoning to him with her free hand to lead away. They eventually came to a run down shack in the forest where the man set down all of his stuff and began strengthening the supports of the shack. Rose shook her head disbelievingly. She never understood panic, or fear. Ever since she was a little girl, nothing much fazed her. Spiders, snakes, and bugs, a five year old's greatest nightmare, were some of her interests. She supposed she got her interest in fear from Dominic... as well as her absence of it. She desperately hoped the two of them would never meet on the battlefield; she knew in her heart that she could never strike down her own brother.
These thoughts were quickly cast aside as she heard the sounds of a battle. They seemed distant, but Rose was growing tired of aiding villagers. So she ran, towards battle, towards excitement.

IC: Isaac slammed into the Imperial Elemental he was fighting, knocking him back. Then he punched him in the jaw with his free hand, then hit him in the shoulder with his mace, popping the shoulder out of its socket. The Imperial screamed in agony, then Isaac brought his arm up, then brought it down with all his might, hitting the Imperial in the chest with his elbow and knocking him to the ground. Isaac then hit the Imperial in the head with his mace and killed him instantly. The Imperials' ranks were diminishing, and they began to notice this. Panicking, they began to retreat, but Isaac wouldn't allow them to. He chased after them when one began to make a portal, and hit him with his mace, breaking his concentration and stopping him from making the portal.

IC: John was appauled at how easily, and with such apparent delight, so many of his allys took delight in their one sided slaughter, there eyes all but shineing from their slanted battle. "Let them go." John said. Looking directly at his fellow elementals. "We need people to spread the rumors of our power and might, which is immpossible if all of them are dead." John paused and directed his gaze at the man who he had earlier cought on fire. The man had sucessfully taken off his armour and was now attempting to roll out of the flames that surrounded his body. John brought his hand in an upward half-circle motion and the flames flew off of the man on the ground and upwards towards the sky, where they formed a never stopping band of fire, high above the party. He will live, John thought as the flames disappeared. The man stood up, minus his cotton shirt, which had burned threw, to reveal an almost unburned torso. He glared at John in distrust. "Which side are you on?" John said, he made it clear that he was directly talking to his fellow elementals, not to the largely defeated soldiers. "Are you on the imperial side? Do you delight in all this mindless battle against a foe who clearly is not up to the task of his own defence, and was sent here to test our strength? And test us he did. If the Emperior sent these men as a test to see how much we are like the Imperials, then you failed. You are as low as them. Are you so blinded by your own bloodlust that you seek to murder these people? Are you so eager to fight people who are weaker then you, so you can have the glory of saying you fought the enemy? No matter who that enemy was? If so," John paused to stare directly at each one of his fellow elementals, stareing directly into their eyes "Then you disgrace the name of the "Royal Elemental", and you should switch sides now and turn on the King, because you are as low as the Imperals." He paused, this time he lowered his voice a notch "Unlike you, I am proud to call myself a Royal Elemental. Because of that, I will only fight an Imperial who is a fair match for me in battle. I say again, let these people go" I thought I knew these people, John thought saddly, as he watched and waited for his fellow elementals response. A little bit of determination left him.

Dominic IC:
One moment, he was sleeping and dreaming a beautiful dream about his girlfriend back home, the next, his girlfriend's face was covered in blood. He turned, tried to get a doctor, but it was much too late. She was dead, her beautiful body limp in his arms. Spiders began crawling out of his ears and began devouring his girlfriend before his very eyes. He screamed, desperate to get out, but long, bony fingers gripped his legs and held him rooted to that spot. The skeleton that was his girlfriend rose, its eyeballs still able to express sadness. "Why?" The skeleton asked him, before raking his chest with long, bony fingers. The pain surged throughout his entire body, this was driving him insane. A man in a big black robe stepped out, looking at him with a hungry look in his eye. "I am Dominic, an Empire Elemental. I am your worst nightmare."
Retrieving a huge scythe from his robe, Dominic's face melted off and he became the Grim Reaper. "You shouldn't have slept on the job, Henry."

Rose walked up, a hand out in front of the Imperial Elementals. "Go now. My intention is not to slaughter all of you, but rather to end this fighting as quickly as possible. Go back now, and tell you companions how you fared against your first Royal Elementals." The elementals didn't so much as thank her, instead turning tail and running into their various portals. She turned cold, blue eyes on her fellow Royal Elementals. "What kind of people are you? Couldn't you see the difference in skill? If you wish to slaughter the weak, your place is not with the Royals. I am here to fight for the freedom of our people; I am here to be a liberator. I do not wish to become those who I am fighting." Warmer eyes turned to John. "Since you seem to be the smartest here, I will introduce myself to you. I am Rose, and my emotion is Fortitude. Every soldier, for I've only murdered soldiers, haunts me still. You want my reasons for why I did not want those Imperials to leave? Because now those Imperials are going to go and tell the Emperor where we are. The Emperor isn't going to just send his Elementals after us. He's going to send an army, as well. And we're not even a mile from the city where the King is! You fool! Not only is the King open for attack, but an entire city full of innocent denizens is in his way, too! He's not going to spare them! He's going to kill them all and destroy the city just to get to the King! If we leave now, he'll invade the city and kill innocents trying to find us, and maybe he'll find the King if he hasn't fled by then. Then when he's satisfied we aren't there, he's going to brutally torture the denizens looking for answers! I'm sorry our murdering those Imperials hurt your morale, but our citizens come before the Empire's citizens, John. Now we have to go back and warn the King." said Isaac as he began walking back towards the city, giving an angry look to John and Rose.

IC: "You think I do not know that?" John said turning to look directly at Isaac's back. He raised his voice to be heard "Those men are going to go and do exactly what I wanted them to do, hurry back and report to their master. And who do you think he will send? Himself? No, he values himself far to highly to fight directly. He will send his most elite troops, if he has any common sence, he will send his entire army, and when he does, we will be here, waiting." Determination burned through Johns' body "Who said we are leaveing? Now we do not have to worry about finding the enemy and being cought off-guard, after stumbleing into one of their traps. Once those men report back, the enemy will come to us. We will now be the ones who pick the place, and set up the battleground in our favor, not theirs. This is our land, and we know it very well, even with trators in their ranks, they do not know it as well as we do. Also, there is never an excuse for one sided slaughter, no matter the place, and no matter the war. If we justify one sided battles, and enjoy them, we are no better then the Imperials we are fighting against. We must hold to our ideals, not step below them when it is easier for us. Or we are as bad as those we seek to destroy. When we make the attempt to place our innocents over the Imperials innocents, and justify our murdering of them, we are Imperials, and I will not be an Imperial. We would be very bad soldiers if we let the Imperials attack this city while we were close. So go back, and warn your King, but tell him this. We were victorius today, and because of that, we will win in this upcomeing battle. Make no mistake, this coming battle will not be easy, but we will win. And we will win it as Royals, and not as Imperials."
He turned to the girl called Rose. "My name is John," so saying, John gave a slight elven bow, in return. "My emotion is Determination, and I have many reasons for being in this war. If you wish to join in the company of a fool, while I cannot speak for my party, I would welcome another healer, into this party."
There is much to be done, John thought and I still do not know where the other members of this party stand. If it is just me, who stays, then the upcoming battle will be very short... But, I will not lose to the Imperials. Was I a fool today? John wondered Is Issac right? Should I have let the other elementals murder the Imperials? No! I was right, if we allow ourselves to become as low as the Imperials, then we are no better then them. Besides, John thought, it was clear that those men were sent to test us, and they never posed a threat to us. Damn Emperior, he is so careless, and willing to sacrifice others lives. One day we will meet, Emperior, and when we do, you will die. Consider that a promise, and I always keep my promises. But first there is the upcomeing battle to prepair for, and win. With fresh determination John started planning for the upcomeing battle that he knew would happen soon.

Isaac stopped and spoke, "If killing those Imperials was so bad, why didn't you just suggest capturing them and taking them prisoner? Instead you say to let them go and now the safety of an entire city is on your head. As I've said before, I do not enjoy murdering, no matter who I murder. It's all still murder. I will not take the lives of innocent people if I can help it, Kingdom or Empire, but we are still a part of the Kingdom and the 6 or 7 lives of those Imperials were less important than the life of the King and the lives of thousands of citizens that live in the city. And, like I said, we could've just taken them prisoner. The King has ways of suppressing magic powers, so we could've held them captive so they did not harm anyone." and then he started walking again.

"No there right we shouldn't have gotten carried away and sorry about and sorry on there behalf as well. I should have know better. He then looked at the dead Imperials annd then stepped in the way of Isaac and said. "They are right weather you want to admit or not."

Isaac scowled at the man, then pushed him out of the way and continued on. "I did not get carried away. I did what I felt was right. I did not plan on getting attacked so soon. I hoped that we would be far away when we first fought those demons. But they did attack us, and we could have stopped them in several ways. But John chose to let them go, and now the city and the King are in danger. My duty is to innocent people, and I won't let the Emperor come here and wipe out an entire city of them. So stay out of my way so I can warn the King. Either the city must evacuate, or we must gather up an army to defend it."

"Listen to me yes they attacked and we had a right to fight back but they were no longer a threat they were retreating and we slaughtered them. We went overboard, but yes you should go warn the king. I will not stop for that, but do not be so sure that they will just walk all over us. We can fight them back if the time is needed., but I will stay back with Rose and John."

IC: "How then, would the message 'where we are' get the the Emperior if all of those men were taken prisoner?" John said to Isaac's again retreating back. The most dangerous soldier in any war is the devout patriot. John thought to himself. Outloud John continued " "Prisoners", there would have been no "prisoners" I saw the look in your eyes, I saw the look in all of my "fellow" Royal elementals. Had I not said anything you and these others would have continued with this one sided battle until all of them were dead. You enjoy the slaughter of weaker enemies, especially when they attack you first so you can justify it. Even if you do not admit it, I see it in your eyes. You do enjoy taking the lives of innocents, those people who we fought just now were just as powerful against us as the civilians would have been. It would have been just as easy foryou , for any of you
John gestered towards all the elementals, " to knock them out, or weaken them, instead you killed them. I did what was right, I let them go. I could have killed every single one of those "soldiers" as soon as they stepped threw the gate. They would have been dead before they could have raised their shields in self-defence. Yet I did not, because unlike you I realized why they were sent here, the second I saw them. They were a test: a test to see how strong we are, and how we deal with Imperials. You do not realize that. Now those same men are being used against the Emperior. Right about now, they are probably reporting back to the Emperior about us. The object of this was not to keep them from "harming anyone", but to continue to be players in this "game" we are all playing, even if they do not realize it." John watched as Isaac pushed Lars out of the way, "Let him go, Lars. Are you with me? If so, please help plan for the defence. Hopefully he will cool off, and help us plan for the upcoming battle."
"You do not get it, do you Isaac?" John shouted after him "We are that army, that you speak of. We are the only ones who can defeat this Imperial army. The Emperior has no interest in this city, only in us. With us gone he can take over the city with no problems. With us here, he cannot, for we will prevent it. It is only a matter of time before the Imperial army is here, help us plan our defence." Not if we continue to fight with ourselves. John thought.

IC: That was all he could take. With a flash, Isaac turned and sprinted to John, then slammed him into a tree that was behind him. "I DO NOT ENJOY MURDER, YOU FOOL! And I wasn't even one of those people trying to kill them! I was merely trying to stop them from getting away! Do you have no memory!? Besides, even with our powers as Elementals, we can't take an entire army on our own! You'd be arrogant to believe that!"
OoC: Seriously, Isaac doesn't get a "bloodthirsty look" in his eyes. He's not the kind that enjoys warfare. And that's actually true that he didn't try to kill them after they tried to escape. If you read back, you'll notice that Isaac didn't kill any of the Imperials after they tried to retreat. He merely hit ONE with a mace (And nothing too serious) to stop him from escaping.
Not trying to sound rude. Just wanted to make that clear.

Lars quickly tried to get between the two and then yelled. "Control your anger that is not our way and neither is killing, but if we are going to even stand a chance you need to stop. And John, I know and I hope they all know what we did was wrong, but there is no need to push farther in this subject. I did not like killing them but at the time I thought it was what I was suppose to do. But we will not stand a chance if you two do not get along."

OoC: I know Isacc, and if you do not like my IC I have no problems changing it (not trying to sound rude, either

).
And I was not trying to refer to a "bloodlust" simply the shineing of the eyes people get when excited, and the lack of restrant shown by the party after the enemy skill was shown. And people do things in battle that they regret later. The ease at which some of the party members were killing, I tried to make it seem like John disliked it (as per the charactor's backround), as it was unfair, unhonorable battle, and thus likely to tarnish his name. And thus was annoyed with the person he viewed as the leader, and thus at fault, with the dead Imperials.

That's fine. I just wanted to make sure you didn't think of Isaac the wrong way. And don't change it. It's fine the way it is. You're making the RP interesting.

IC:
An idea sprung into Rose's blue eyes. She smiled at the rest of the group. "Play nice, children. It's mommy's turn to talk." When she had their angry, glaring attention, she continued, pointing her fingers at an injured Imperial who had just stirred awake. "Why don't we take the fight to them? I can revive that man there, and we can follow him through the portal, wherever he may run to. That way, instead of our King being at risk for assasination, their Emperor will be the one with the greatest chance of dying..."

Ok

. I was trying to have John be annoyed at having his name almost tarnished, even thou he does not realize it himself.
IC: "Unhand me, you fool." John said. "Stop them? Like you stopped that one?" John thought about saying more, but thought better of it. "Never-the-less, Lars is right, we need to work together to defeat the army that is now coming. And whether you or I like it, what is done is done, and like Lars said, we must work together to win this. Look around you, we are the be all, and end all, of this army, of which you speak. There are no more Royal elementals. We are them, and we are all that stand between the Imperial Army, and that city. We are all that
can stand against that army. We must not fail, we must believe we can win this from the start, or our determination will falter, and we will lose this war. Go warn the King, if you must. However, keep in mind that those citizens are safer inside those walls, then outside in a blind panic." John stepped out from between Isacc and the tree "Lars, you are right, we cannot change the past. Perhaps I was a little, over zealious in critizing your actions. However, you were equally so on mine. What is done is done, people die in war, that is a fact. It is also a fact, that we are the only people who can stop this coming army, we need to prepair, and do it fast. I have no grudge against either of you."
"I object to that plan Rose," John said "Our best plan, our best chance, is to be here. We know the land, we know the people, we can prepair. If we need to, we can withdraw to the castle. We hold the advantage here, if we go to them, we are fighting against everything they have. If they come to us, they are tired, while we are fresh. They will be cautious while we are bold. We will hold the advantage from the start. They will not. Keep in mind, if they fight us here, on our terms, they cannot faint and divert our attention, by attempting to attack this town while we are away. We are here, standing between the Army and the town, no one will pass us unnoticed."
