People always say, "If you have a couple in games your stupid." Which is kinda crazy IMO. But I somewhat agree. When you get a relationship in RuneScape they always ask the same questions. "What's your name?" or "How old are you?"
But, sometimes you find someone who meets the same interests.

being the desperate 11 year old i was once (14 now) i know that, you can both get pretty good friends (you will never love them) and muppet bags, it's better just to avoid it though, real girlfriends are sooo much better

I don't see why people do this. It's honestly very pointless. You'll never meet the person, never get to know them, and upon meeting them, know nothing about them. You can't have a serious relationship with anybody on RuneScape unless you are breaking the rules.

Chances are you won't even if you break the rules. A 16 year old guy in the US meets a 15 year old girl in the UK. Big whoop. How are they going to ever see each other? Yet they still carry on with the relationship in RuneScape. Honestly, it's unbelievably retarded.

Agreed. It is. However I said if you ever have a serious (I know, weird) relationship with someone in RuneScape, chances are, you'll be giving out lots of personal information.

Despite having some very good friends on the game I can't help but think that having a virtual amorous relationship is silly:
Who in their right mind would sacrifice a tender hand, kind face and gentle concern for a few cyan words on a screen? Oh, and sex, let's not forget about that minor detail.
Edit: Spellcheck, why have you deserted me?

I don't like any game relationships. For all you know that "15-year old girl" could be a 50 year old man.
Besides, real girls are better.

How can you love someone based on a few pixels in a java game?

It all depends how you go about it. If you aren't spamming around, "l00king for gf", and you happen to meet someone who has the same interests as you, then I don't see a problem. However, real girlfriends usually > online ones.

I lol everytime I see one of these topics... online relationships are incredibly stupid. Chances are the "girl" is actually a teenage boy looking for a way to entertain himself... real girls are so much better. I love my girlfriend much more than pixels on a screen.
