Well, my friends on here keep telling me I need to create my own Skill Log. I would love to, but I don't know how to even start one. I'm currently trying to make one with a friends help. Any help will be appreciated and I will post in my log that you helped me.

Thank You.

go in a log topic like eeee combat's, reply to the first post and look at the code in the

Well, every skill log is different in some way.
It more depends on how you want to use it.
Looking at other people's codes might help you get a good feel for a way to lay everything out.
Just look at other people's logs if you are stuck for a layout idea, use the "BB code help" button when you use full post/edit for more useful ways of setting it out, but it depends how you'll use it.
You might want lots of different sections if you're going to be adding levels from lots of skills (so anchor tags can help get around - use the tutorial for that?), but generally, as I've said at least twice now, it depends how you're going to use it.
But for most good skill logs, it can take quite a long time to get everything right.

Alright, thanks for the tips guys. I'm going to try to get one up today.

You should not worry about having a complex and "awesome" skill log right off the bat. Start with the most bare bone layout you can come up with while still remaining attractive and to the point. As visitors come you can change it either by looking at other logs (was already said) or create a unique way to present everything. You'll also have to look at how many pictures you already have, if you don't have a picture of a level in a certain skill then don't bother making a section for it. I remember starting off with a goal section, an info section, and a random levels section which was all that was really needed, then I grabbed tidbits of ideas from other logs and applied them to my own as time passed and I had more to work with.

I find my layout really simple, so I guess my style could be used.
Also, keep a recovery because you may encounter a glitch where your log suddenly disappears.

Thanks for the idea's guys! I have made a Skill Log now! biggrin.gif tongue.gif
Jacky, what do you mean by recovery? How do I do that?
Xaria
By a "recovery", he means that you should periodically save the information (all the codes and images) in your first post. To do this, just copy the code of your first post (CTRL + A then CTRL + C) and paste it into something else (like a notepad file or a saved message on the forum). Then if a glitch happens and you lose everything in your skill log post, you can just paste the information back in.

Thanks, Xaria. I just did that on Word. biggrin.gif tongue.gif
