Okay, so the basic definition of a sprite sig is a sig with a pixel sprite instead of a render/stock (for me anyway...). I was wondering if there was more to it, like certain c4ds for them or if they are just treated like a pixel render?

That's pretty much it. It's much more about flow, too.
I know that planetrenders has quite a few free tutorials on sprite sigs.
