Your local DvD rental, game or related store (I'm going to sound all American and say check out Wal-Mart, or similar) they normally some cheap things to do it with. (At least they do where I live

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cd-Scratch-Remover-R...3QQcmdZViewItemThis or something similar might work, but if there's a Gamestation near you then you might want to have them check it out, they should do it for free and it's a lot less hassle.

Lysol works and isn't mentioned there, so give it a try too.

If the scratches aren't too bad, but cause it to freeze up sometimes (I guess depending on what kind of disk), you can (on a Mac) insert the disk and make a .iso with the disk utility and then burn the .iso to a new disk.
If you're using Windows, I recommend downloading imgburn (free software sticky) and make an image and then burn.

You spray the cd... And wipe from the inside edge to the outside (Not in a circle).

Tooth Paste didn't work.
Toothpaste is abrasive.
I've heard car wax works. Use it the same way as the Lysol method.
