Unfortunately this is due to a problem that arose when we made a tweak to the update today. I'm afraid that some lent items we're never returned to their owners.
We apologise for the inconvenience, however please remember that Jagex do not return any lost items.

Hi there,
As it stands the issues today shouldn't have affected the item lending system, so we're currently unsure on if this is a real bug or not.
Please provide us with more information via the "Submit a Bug Report" system on the website. This way we can investigate the issue completely and via the proper processes.
We really need more information before we confirm/deny this as a genuine bug.

We've not seen any evidence of such a bug ever having existed over here in the dev office.
I suspect it's just players who saw lots of other bugs going on and decided to try it on.
We will obviously look into things, but I suspect that mod Mark H was misinformed.

It appears as though there has been a bit of miscommunication our end.
Player's losing lent items is not a confirmed bug, so if you *have* suffered from this you will need to give us more information so we can confirm it.
Whilst our policy about returning items doesn't change, we do need to know about this bug if it is real. Currently we have no evidence of this being a genuine bug and could just be players making it up.
I apologise for the communication error personally.

Hi all,
There are a lot of threads being created to report lost items from "Item Lending".
Firstly, I would ask all genuine reports of this problem to check their banks/deposit boxes/grand exchange etc to make sure the item is not waiting for them.
If you *genuinely* feel you have lost an item, you will need to submit a bug report and provide us with as much detail as possible.
However, please be aware that many players are reporting this problem about untradeable items, so it is possible that many players are creating false threads to cause disruption.
Also, it is Jagex policy to not return any lost items.
