As a result of one of today's bugfix updates, a change was made whereby you can eat or drop or drink or use items in your inventory without breaking out of whatever you were already doing, such as chopping, mining, fighting and fishing.

This isn't a bug, and it isn't bug abuse if you do it.

However, since it's had annoying effects to some situations, we might change it again in a future update.
