So, whenever I open a .psd to work on the file again, it always says the whole work I was doing is a background. I can't get my separate layers to appear again. Which, in turn, means once I start a work, I cannot close it and reopen it. Help?

Are you flattening before you save?

Or maybe you haven't ticked the check box where it says, "save as layers".

Not really sure. The last time I opened something up (after I posted this topic) it came open as layered and not flattened. So, I think I should just save with the layers open next time.

I'm not sure if mine has a 'save as layers" but the next time I save I'll look for it.

Thanks guys.
