What the hell does Red October 2: sean connery is pissed off mean? Is this some old movie that I don't get because I'm part of the "new generation"
Or is it some inside joke that Sal and his mod's laugh about over coffee?
BTW, I don't miss a lot of culture jokes, so I'd feel like a total dumb$#! if this was one.

There's an initial joke about Red October (bond film) then an ironic joke about there already have being a sequel to Red October. This isn't a joke you missed because you're part of the 'new generation'. It's a joke you missed because you haven't watched some of the best filming ever done: James Bond.

There's no James Bond in The Hunt for Red October. It's about Americans trying to seize the Red October (a soviet submarine). Sean Connery (James Bond actor) is the captain of the Red October in the film, who betrays his country and crew to join the Americans.

Bottom line-it has nothing to do with James Bond.

Technically, it does. But it's an easy mistake to make. For me, Sean Connery will always either be James Bond or Indies father.
