Why do you think the sword you selected is better?

I selected the scimitar, mainly because it is what I use most of the time after Monkey Madness, and it graduates you from 'noob' status with your dragon longsword. Although I must admit, the longsword special attack is undeniably better.

Dragon longsword is better, scimitar is over-rated.

I prefer the scimitar, even though it's just slightly faster.

In my opinion the Dragon Long is better, and the Dragon Scimitar is over rated, like Zama said..
D Long has better stat bonuses, and a better special attack..

I definitely prefer the d long, it has better stats and is easier to get, seeing as you only have to do Lost City and not MM. However, the d scim is slightly faster, and as people have said it is proof you have done MM. Also I find I got called a noob a lot when I used a d long, which is a shame. I remember trying to explain to a scim user once that my long actually had better stats. It was quite amusing

Dragon Long. I think Scimitars are generally more over rated because they are apparently a better Pking weapon, when Pking and general killing is a lot of difference.

Scimmy is better but if you want a good spec use D long.

I tend to find myself hitting loads of 0's with dragon long...

Dragon scimitar for looking pimp, because you have to do a pretty difficult quest...
And the Dragon longsword for special attack hits.

d long is a noob weapon and using a d scim shows you have comp. mm also, but the scim spec is scary..

I prefer the scimitar because it doesn't look like it will fall apart if you hit something with it. Also, I like fast weapons. I usually use either d scim (or dba just because of the special and because I like the look and strength bonus, even though it's slow) to level up str, and whip to level defence or attack.

The Dragon Longsword is statistically better, but the Dragon Scimitar looks cooler

I think the Dragon Longsword is better, But the Dragon scimitar is so highly rated because it is so hard to get so overall the Dragon Longsword is better, Although some people prefer the Dragon scimitar.

Dragon Longsword all the way. It's ridiculous how the Dragon Scimitar is overrated.

If you're looking for efficiency, you go with the Scimitar for stats and weapon speed. Yeah, the Dragon Longsword hits better and got a heavy-hitting special attack, but if you're after real efficiency, you'll use a Scimitar as a main weapon and carry a Dragon Dagger with you to use specials with.

Scimitar is a better base weapon then Dragon Longsword. Dagger got a better special then Longsword, the Longsword is just a mix of the two.

d long has better spec(its specs also tend to do more damage then the dds cause of the d long's accuracy)
but the d scim's spec is wonderful for making one itemers lose 30mil and kill themselves but im not a pker

Well the scimi used to look better, now they both look terrible... But I chose the scimi mainly for the speed and for the fact that I rarely use a spec unless I'm using a dds but if you were going by specs I would have to say the dlong owns it up

The longsword's special attack with 4 accurate hits make me choose it over the scimitar's poor special. However, if both items are being compared without their special, the scimitar seems to be a better choice.

EDIT: I voted longsword though.

Scimitar has one of the worst specials of all the Dragon weapons. Nonetheless, the Scimitar is still superior.
