I got an email about it today and I want to check my PC to see if it's good for Windows 7. I managed to start downloading it today and the speed was at 7kb/s then it later froze and I cancelled it. I'm trying to start the download now but it just keeps loading and the download never starts. I'm trying to get Microsoft_Assessment_and_Planning_Solution_Setup.x86.exe by the way.

Has anyone already downloaded it? Are there any alternate download locations?

Thanks!

Uhm I think your a bit confused on what this tool is for its not to scan your computer to find out if it can run Windows 7 its to determine if whole corporation networks can be upgraded to it.

Just tell me your specs and I will tell you if it can work.

Like Emo_Nemo said, that tool is designed for large businesses. A more suitable tool would be the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. Tell us if you have any problems downloading that.

Oh, I thought the one I was trying to get WAS the upgrade advisor. biggrin.gif Thanks Cattius, downloading now at speeds topping at 8kb/s biggrin.gif Only six minutes remaining heh. Will report back after I get results.

EDIT: Here are some of my PC specs: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=567963

Yup thought so anyway, and the Upgrade Advisor found no problems, except one telling me to back up my files, which I do, I put my files on my external hard drive.
