Hey guys, I'm gonna get an MP3 or an MP4 player, but I need to know if the money is worth it. An mp4 player with 8GB costs 150 euro while an 8 GB mp3 player costs 100 euro. Which should I get? Is it worth the extra 50 euro for an mp4 player?

Caboose
It depends, what are you going to be using it for? And what are the players? Just so i can check them out and maybe recommend better alternatives.
Cattius
Like Caboose I would like to know what models of players you're looking at. Because no offence, but €150 for an mp4 sounds a bit steep.
Magical
If you mean video vs. non video then I'd go for the non video option, but as all the others have said, which ones are you looking at?
Tweety
Both are Sony. I'm gonna be using it for like going away from home. Like going to the beach, to the mountains and stuff like that.

Could you tell us the exact models so we can see the features of both?
Emo_Nemo
8gb of space is hardly enough space for a mp4.

Go for the mp3

If you're on the beach, out walking etc. you can never see the screen if it's sunny. And if you're inside you have a computer so meh.

It's a store in my country ( Romania ) so you won't understand my language ( Romanian ).

I forgot to mention something. 8GB is the MP4's initial memory. I can always go to the store and buy a memory card/stick.

Oh OK. In that case I think you should go for the mp4.

@Magical: Only players with bad screens are really affected in that way - for example I frequently use my iPod Touch on the beach, and I can see it fine.
