I'm getting poor performance and random bouts of freezing and change of focus. I'm going back to 3.0.11.

That's really weird, it's been completely plain sailing for me. What were you doing when it crashed?

Mine hasn't been brilliant either, had a random close of it earlier. It also occasionally closes one of the tabs and opens it up in a separate window which is annoying.

Yeah its happening to me too... slanty.gif and its taken to deleting my cookies after it does it too....

Just crashed on me for the first time. No biggie since FF saves tabs.

I can't log in to Yahoo mail with firefox. Works fine with IE.

Anyone else got this problem?
Agent F
@ Red: Nope. I use it on a daily basis and haven't had a problem with it yet.

@ Cattius in post 38: That had no visible change even after restarting my browser.
redmonke
Maybe it's an addon. slanty.gif

I log in, then it just takes me to another log in page.

I'm sorry that fix didn't work. I tested it on Sunday and it seemed to work fine for me. Looking through the comments on the Lifehacker page I linked to, people are suggesting using the Tab Mix Plus add-on as apparently this has a setting to not close the browser when the last tab is closed.

I expect everyone will experience some problems with FF for a month or so while they iron out the bugs; it's the same with pretty much all browser releases.

Seems like it's Chrome-ized version of FF to me.

Yeah, it's definitely a Chrome clone. Guess they had to change once Chrome started handing it to them.
redmonke
More like a faster Firefox with some new features, but ok. huh.gif
Gillis
The tab button is the only cool thing I see that they added. I don't really see a change in the awesome bar.

Hardly. Firefox and Chrome still have very different interfaces and approaches (such as Chrome's sandboxing, Firefox's add-ons, e.t.c.). FF may have added some features from Chrome, such as Private Browsing, but frankly all the browsers are going to have to add stuff like that in order to keep up.

@Gillis: The tab button wasn't the only change tongue.gif Redmonke's original post lists some of the new features.

I know. I was stating the only new feature that I noticed.

Oh OK. box.gif My bad.

Sorry, it's just I feel like I need to defend FF tongue.gif

But the default firefox is all silvery-white and glossy, which makes it look MIGHTY close to Chrome...

And I'm a Chrome elitist, so my logic is irrefutable.

Maybe the colours of the buttons are similar, but I think we're nitpicking a bit here laugh.gif In general, the two interfaces are pretty different.

And I love Chrome too. It's my main browser. So my logic is also irrefutable tongue.gif

It's awesome!

Really? Mine's beige... gotta love Windows Standard display theme tongue.gif

FF =/= Chrome, if that were the case i would not use both for different tasks.

Found this when looking through userChrome-example.css

I just thought it was funky looking. tongue.gif
