I've only listen to the first 33 minutes or so of the most recent podcast and I have quite allot to say.

  • First of all i do like the chunks of music in between each section but i do think they should be more consistent, sometimes the music is about 5 seconds long and at another part of the podcast it can go up to a minute.
  • Its difficult to listen to someone with a bad quality microphone the only exception is to Fatalysm who has a great microphone.
  • I don't know if this is scripted or you just say things that come to mind but Fatalysm's forum updates section was very tedious, it would have been much quicker for me to look up the updates than listen.
  • Its painful listening to everything in my right ear (at first I thought one of my headphones had fallen out but it was just the podcast)
  • Distracting Music, I have a bad attention span, when i listen to someone talking and there is background music i start to think about the music and forget about who is talking, which isn't bad because sometimes the music can be better than listening rolleyes.gif Maybe have less distracting music/musak/elevator music/blues or even no music at all.
  • I don't like Fatalysm creepy laugh he has after everything he says. deformed.gif
  • Oh and it could be cut down to 45 Minutes happy.gif

As for the last comment, the whole thing was extremely long because of Dani's interview.

Than why is that sometimes the person speaking is lost for words and talks slowly?

Pixel Bunnie's mic was fine, so I didn't see the problem with that.

Also I have to agree with you, cutting it down, would not hurt. I'd also prefer the cast not to be as scripted as much. Seriously I feel like I'm listening to a dry tomato talking through most of it, where as if someone was to say something in their normal matter of talking, I'd probably be far more inclined to actually care what they say.

Scripting is all out for the next episodes. So it should be a lot better. Also we plan on releasing frequently so the content is cut down into slightly smaller amounts. The majority of time that was taken up for this SalCast was definitely the interviews.

With some parts I worked without a script just sort of winging it. Without much research which is why everything gets a little bit slow. Also with the forum updates, they are something that is being considered for removal. Almost directly linking to what you said about being able to look it up quicker.

It's good you picked up on it really, every little bit of script that gets done I tend to have something to laugh at. It's like everything that gets said is a link to which is only really available to myself. I have found that with Skype on the cards with interactivity and discussion things get done without laughing. More or less because i really concentrate on what I'm saying.

It was annoying, because I cannot find a way to change the volume balance for both ears. I'm not a master editor, but even Falcon couldn't do it with the software he has available to him.

How is it that you managed in some parts put in others it was in the right ear? Surely that kind of thing is easy to fix in the free audio program audacity.

Some recordings were automatically like this after recording and wouldn't change no matter how many settings were altered.

Did you try switching the track to stereo rather than mono?

Don't you mean stereo to mono?

I've listened to some more up to the end of Dani's Interview. I didn't like the games review at all, very boring and difficult to hear. Elsewhere in the podcast i could hear allot of bumps being made my the microphone which was fairly irritating.

Somewhere in the podcast I had heard a really professional sounding jingle? Who made that and do you have any idea were it was in the podcast?
