There is some forums with numerous amounts of subforums, take graphics for example. When there is a new post, you are not sure what subforum it is in.
So the solution is make the new post line like this:
last post by:error404
time stuff here
subforum if it is in a subforum

Would this work?

What's so bad about clicking on the forum and finding out?

I'm unsure if such a code would work too...or even if it did, would be difficult to implement into the CSS, HTML and whatnot.

Actually it is not as hard as you think, putting text is quite simple to do.

Error404, if you think it is easy enough to do, then why don't you code it yourself and submit it to Sal's? Unless you know good PHP, I don't think you can, so you shouldn't just be saying something isn't as 'hard as we think' without knowing what is involved.

EDIT: Oh, and I can tell you- it's going to be far more than just a one-liner. This is going to be a pretty big code.

Oh really? If this is as simple as you say it is, it should be finished within the next three days, or a bit sooner.

Anyways, bai bai.

When on earth did I say it was simple, I said it wasn't as hard as life said it was, I do not think wrapper, css and colour changes would be neede.
Html will however.

I don't see anything wrong with clicking a topic and then seeing which subforum it's in. So to me, I'm thinking that this would be implemented just for the sake of it with like no real incentive behind it.

The code itself would actually be pretty small and simple, but I don't think it's necessary. The board already publishes what thread is the latest. All you need to do is insert a query for the forum the thread is located and display the result.
