I was talking to a few friends, and we were discussing the best possible browser. So, you can mix together browsers and programs, or create your own stuff.

Speed: Google Chrome
Address Bar: Google Chrome (Including the Website Search tool)
New Tab Page: Google Chrome or Opera
Layout: Songbird w/ Sparkle Feather
Tabs: Songbird
Website Editing: Firebug or Chrome's Built-In "Inspect Element"
Add-Ons: Cooliris (For Firefox)
Other: Built with Thunderbird included, and Lightning for Thunderbird
Pop-Up Blocking: Google Chrome

What about you guys?
redmonke
Speed: Firefox
Address Bar: Firefox awesome bar
New Tab Page: Firefox + IE tab
Layout: Songbird: My custom firefox layout
Tabs: Firefox
Website Editing: Firebug
Add-Ons: All my firefox addons (I have quite a bit)
Other: Icon must have a fox in it
Pop-Up Blocking: Firefox + addblock plus
Wiltingplant
Chrome. Just Chrome. It does everything best, I'm afraid.
Konstantine
Hmm redmonke you find Firefox faster then Chrome even with tons of add-ons?

Well, half of the icons aren't active (click to open an IE tab, click to open up firebug, compacted menu).

And sure there's a difference of speed between the two, but my pages are loading fast enough, and I don't want to sacrifice all my customizations. tongue.gif
Konstantine
Yes, but this is where you can mix-up different browsers, so keep chrome's speed but use your firefox add-ons.
redmonke
Yea...buuuut....

I'd be abandoning my favorite browser. wub.gif
Neo Avatars
Ooo...

Speed: Opera, with Chrome's startup time
Address Bar: Firefox awesome bar
New Tab Page: Chrome, with a picture background or Fast Dial version 2.9
Layout: Firefox, but no title bar
Tabs: Firefox with various addons
Website Editing: Firebug
Add-Ons: All my Firefox addons (I have quite a few)
Other: If it can start up in under 30 seconds with 40/50 addons, 'twould be great. Also, some sort of way to remember passwords that doesn't let other people make six clicks in the options menu to see them also would be nice. tongue.gif - IE or Opera seem best for that. Oh, and it shouldn't crash three times during installation... bleh.gif
Pop-Up Blocking: Not sure - Firefox lets some through, but I've not used other browsers enough to have any appear, so probably something else

From my experience, Opera's faster. box.gif

Yea my one problem with firefox is the password thing and the lack of parental controls with it. slanty.gif
Redicaluss
Why would YOU care about parental controls, monke?

Speed: Chrome
Address Bar: Chrome
New Tab Page: Chrome - those 9 boxes are a part of me now.
Layout: Chrome - so simplistic, yet so convenient!
Tabs: Firefox - the tabs in Chrome are a little too easy to move.
Website Editing: N/A
Add-Ons: Firefox, I guess. The only things I had were .flv downloaders and themes, anyways.
Pop-Up Blocking: Chrome, baby! Blocks all pop-ups for me!

I tried this to see what I really thought about Chrome against others... Guess I like it as much as I thought!

You guys actually like the awesome bar? I had to disable it because it got in the way.

You can set a master password to stop people from checking your passwords. (You have to plug it in every time you want to view the passwords as well as the first time you want to use a password after you clear your temp files)

You disabled the awesome bar? That's like ripping out its soul sad.gif

For me, it would be:
Speed: A combo of Chrome and Opera (I find that the browser with the best speed varies depending on the content of the page).
Address Bar: Chrome wub.gif
New Tab Page: Safari 4 (cover flow ftw)
Interface and Tabs: Chrome
Stability: Firefox
Add-ons: Firefox
Web Developer Tools: Chrome + Firebug add-on
Pop-up Blocking: Firefox

Plus I'd like IE8's accelerators, Firefox's Live Bookmarks and Chrome's sandboxing. I'm not asking too much am I? tongue.gif

I'd like Chrome...but on a diet further tongue.gif. I would make the address bar half the width and put the tabs and etc. next to it. I don't like loads of adons on a browser, I like it simple and fast,
Topdog
Speed: Firefox
Address Bar: Firefox
New Tab Page: Firefox (biggrin.gif - I like it blank)
Layout: Firefox (and with Personas, it gets even better)
Tabs: Firefox, but moves the way that Chrome does
Website Editing: Firefox's Firebug
Add-Ons: Adblock Plus, Skype, Personas, DNA, and Cooliris
Pop-Up Blocking: I just turn off JavaScript on Firefox

... FIREFOX for life! biggrin.gif

I just turn off JavaScript on Firefox

You turn off JavaScript? Don't you find that messes up sites for you? JavaScript is everywhere nowadays...

No, not really. tongue.gif Not many of the sites that I visit use JavaScript.
gabtdw
Firefox with the rendering engine and Javascript engine of Chrome. WebKit renders things in a more pleasing manner and it's also faster at JS, but Chrome still lacks addons such as my favourite AdBlock, and the little pointless ones like FlagFox or different themes smile.gif
-REAP-
Firefox, but with faster loading.
