I am thinking about using uNetbootin for this, but I am not entirely sure if this will actually work.

I am trying to put the win32 7 .iso onto my flashdrive due to my DVD-RW not being recognizable, for some odd reason.

Will this be possible?

I tried that on my netbook and I couldn't boot it. Maybe if you write it to the flash drive with ImgBurn? In the end I partitioned the drive with another tool and ran the Win7 installer from within XP (maybe Vista in your case).

Your DVD-RW might not work because you 'prepared' it with Windows, in which case grab another, don't open it with explorer and burn the image to it using ImgBurn.

You've seen this guide to do it, right?

Too let you know its more or so I have 2 hard-drives with me.

One is hooked up on the second IDE slot, aswell with my DVD-RW is hooked up on the first one. (I think the dvd-rw isn't being recognized because of that)

Will it the install through windows be able to install on a separate drive?

Also, Jamster if you want to move this to tech help if it deems so, go ahead.

I don't really know what you're asking, but assuming you're saying that you have two drives, yes you can choose which drive to install it on. wink.gif

Alright, that's good, and all I need to know. If you guys want close this, and can it.

Ok, I don't really know that much about having multiple hard drives (never had more than one), but I'd assume it's like multiple partitions.

I'd wait for someone else's opinion, because I don't really know how these things are set up and which one is the one booting (if you know what I'm saying). slanty.gif

I have two hard drives on my computer, one with 2 partitions, and one with only 1 partition. When I ran Windows 7 Setup it listed the 2 partitions of one drive and the 1 partition of the other drive together, so I don't think it treats drives/partitions separately.
I'm pretty sure 7 will just set it up so whichever drive you install to will be the one that boots up. And if it doesn't it's only a matter of changing the boot order in the BIOS.
