I've just discovered a bug when saving notes, sometimes when doing so they can fail to be saved to the back end note server.

This can occur if you edit or add a new note after more than 15 minutes of being logged into the game. Any notes added before this time should be fine.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this might cause. I hope to have the issue fixed as soon as possible.

While using the notepad feature, you can store information there

It was added in with Mobilising Armies and the new interface. I'm not sure, but I think Notes are P2P only?

Ontopic: There always has to be a bug with new software, hope it gets fixed soon!

Good thing notes have such a small limit, or that might have really wasted a lot of peoples' time. pfft.gif

Kudos to Jagex for getting on it quickly though. My heart goes out to those that lost a minute or two to this bug. cry.gif

Well, it's bound to happen to new things.

Btw, epic title mispelling.

Nope, they're f2p too. I just don't get what the point of them are; Runescape has never been a game where i've needed notes.

It's nice that jagex realizes these problems so fast, I lost all my easter egg notes from this bug.

People used to use their friendslist for notes, hence why they only allow real names in the friends list and now allow them to have their notes elsewhere.

Sure, I got that but what kind of notes do they leave? I've never felt the slightest need to take a note about runescape so I'm wondering what kind of notes they leave.

Fairy ring codes, maybe.
Arbitrary M
I use them to keep track of goals and quests I am working on. The colours are also good to show your progress on those goals/quests. There's white, green, amber and red.
