Far away, there is another world, named Ealagi. Well, that's the name of one of the continents on the world. A small continent. There, there are three main races.
Elf: Elves look much like humans, except that they're slightly shorter, they have pointed ears, and their skin is fairer. They have long hair, but they can't grow facial hair. And they don't look muscular, and thye're slender. But elves are more agile and flexible than humans. They have a connection to nature that the other races cannot fathom. And they can not die of disease or old age. The elves live in the great forest of Ilree, which takes up most of the southwestern part of Ealagi, and they're ruled by Queen Ain.
Dwarf: Dwarves looked kind of like humans, but they averagely stand at about four feet and 6 inches, they have really long beards, which they're proud of, and they're muscular and bulky. Dwarves are athletic and endurable. They live much longer than humans, but they can still die of disease and old age, unlike elves. They are great craftsman, and they love battle. And they will defend their honor with ferocity. The dwarves live in the mountainous area of Ianeak, which takes up most of the northwestern part of Ealagi, and they're ruled over by King Rafake.
Human: Please don't tell me I have to describe humans. That would be sad. But humans are adaptable, being able to live in many places and do many things. And they live various lifestyles. The humans take up the rest of Ealagi, the region called Reare, ruled over by King Isolda. The humans also have four temples where mages go to train. One, a temple located in the north, is called Hydronia, and the people there learn to control all the forms of water. Another, located in the south, is called Pyronia, and the people there learn to control fire. Another, located on Mount Erig, on the western side of Reare, is called Aeronia, and the people there go to learn how to control air. Another, located at the bottom of a canyon in the center of Reare, is called Terrania, and the people there learnt to control earth. The last, located in Hundetor, the capital of Reare, located in the northwest, is called Electronia, and the people there learn to control lightning (Which includes plasma).
First Storyline: The land of Ealagi has been in peace for generations. However, that was not meant to last. A new threat lands on Ealagi's eastern coast. Strange creatures from another continent begin invading Ealagi. Creatures called orcs. And the orcs are led by a very powerful orc named Isunche, who is protected by magic. The three races have banded together to defeat this new threat, but have not gotten far. Prophecies fortold of such creatures coming, led by such a creature. And the prophecies also foretold that only one thing can destroy the being. The Octasphere. But the Octasphere was broken into eight pieces long ago and each piece was sent to an arena, and the only way to retrive the pieces was to beat the arenas' challenges. But the arenas are hidden. Now each race is assembling men which they'll send to search for the arenas and retrive the pieces of the Octasphere. The people who are to go there are to meet at Fort Isaac, in the middle of elven territory. The eight arenas are the Fire Arena, the Air Arena, the Earth Arena, the Water Arena, the Lightning Arena, the Ice Arena, the Silver Arena, and the Gold Arena.
Orc: Orcs are slightly human-like, except they're taller, they have pointed ears, they have sharp teeth, they have sharp black nails, and their skin is green. They have long hair. They're muscular and bulky. They are brutish, savage, and they love power and war.

Name:Penkim Murflower

History: Raised in the small town of Dugi, Penkim had a simple farmers life. But inspired by tales of battle, Penkim soon joined the army to destroy the Orcish Horde and battle in the dangerous arenas, no matter what it takes.
Appearance: Penkim is slightly taller then the average dwarf, wearing a small battle helm crafted himself, along with a rough leather tunic, rough brown hunting pants, old leather boots his grandmother made for him, and a long cape he wraps around himself when cold. Penkim also has a long, orange bushy beard. He also has blue eyes.
Equipment: A decently sized two handed battle axe, and a (If we are aloud to have guns, if not discard this) steel rifle.
Abilites/Powers: From all the time he has been around snow and forges, Penkim has developed a decent resistance to fire and water/ice. And the massive amout of work he has done at a young age gave him above average strength.

IC: Ackell entered Fort Isaac, where a guard was waiting for him. The two exchanged greetings, and then the guard took and escorted Ackell to the meeting room, where several others were waiting. Ackell took his seat, and he began to wait for the rest of the militarymen to arrive. The king had specifically chose him first to go on this quest, because of his reputation. Ackell, however, was doubtful they could accomplish it, but he knew very well that miracles happened, and he was willing to try.

IC: Pulling the blade out of the furnace, Leo smashed the blade and hit the orange parts, then turned it over and repeated the action. Raising the blade, he dunked it in a tub of water and walked away.
Taking a seat at his table, the dwarf took a sip of water from his bottle. Looking out the window, Leo watched as the dwarven soldiers watched for orcs. Standing up, he picked up his axe and exited the house.
Walking down the path, Leo approached one of his favourite gazing spots. From here, he could see far. Thankfully, there are no orcs in sight.

IC: Penkim looked back at his old village, one last time. He saw his family, Mother, Father, and two brothers. Even though he was the youngest, he was the strongest of the small family. Penkim waved a last goodbye and continued to travel throughout the snowy landscape, accompanied by his faithful dog, Thunderbane. Penkim used his gun as a walking staff, his cape flowing in the harsh winds.
Penkim heard a lord roar from the northwest, he turned his head to see a bear charging at him. The creature nearly swiped Penkim with its dangerous claws, but Thunderbane bit the bears leg, stunning it momentarily. Penkim jumped back, quickly loading his gun. Penkim pulled the trigger, the shell nearly hit the bears head, but it missed. Penkim jumped back, Thunderbane still distracting the beast. Penkim reloaded his gun a second time, firing at the beast. Hitting its left hind leg, causing the bear to slump down, but swiping Thunderbane away, leaving a massive wound.
Penkim's eyes lit up instantly when the creature hit this dog. Penkim dropped his gun and took his axe off his back, charging at the bear, screaming as his did. Penkim closed his eyes and swung at the bear, knowing he would hit it.
Blood gushed out of the bears neck when Penkim swung, killing it within a few moments. Penkim ran to his dog seconds after, seeing a horrible wound on his left side. Penkim looked back at the village, seeing nothing but the pouring snow. Penkim took a quick glance at his map, seeing the nearest place to go was Fort Isaac, Penkim sighed and placed his weapons on his back. Carrying the dog in his arms, wrapping the large cape around it. Penkim walked northward, to the Fort.

IC: Penkim finally saw the Fort. Only a few hundred yards away, Penkim could see it was just of average size, and not to fancy. Luckily, the snows were not to harsh here. After a few minutes of walking, Penkim finally reached the fort. He knocked on the large front doors, a slot opening a foot above Penkim, revealing someones eyes. "Yes, what do you need?" Penkim looked up at the slot and said "I seek hospitality, my dog is wounded. I also came to fight against the orcish horde, and battle in the fierce arenas." The man behind the doors eyed Penkim up and down, he turned around and muttered something. A few moments later, the doors opened.
"Welcome," The doorman said "To Fort Isaac." Penkim smiled and shook the mans hand while a young woman approached Penkim. "Sir, I will take the dog. I will inform you when he is all better!" Penkim gazed at the woman for a bit, not trusting her fully, but he handed her his dog. She smiled and waked off. Penkim looked around the Fort, larger then it seemed. Penkim heard the loud clanking of metal, seeing a guard running to him. "You said said something about wanting to fight eh?" The guard asked, Penkim nodded. "Well, I believe you could be of use.." The guard geustered Penkim to follow, leading him to the meeting room and setting him in a chair. Penkim looked around, seeing a few others accompanied him. Penkim, not wanting to start conversation, waited for the rest to arrive.

IC: After leaving a note he was heading to Fort Isaac, Leo then set off from the dwarven mountains to the land of the elves; his purpose was to visit a military fort of some kind where it was rumoured other anti-Shadow warriors were gathering for a mass revolt. Riding fast on his bear Zus, he felt relaxed at seeing the sun rise and the wind blowing on his face.
Unfortunately, if the Shadow isn't stopped, all that will be gone for the free people, he thought grimly.
Soon, Leo reached what seemed to be the fort. Sighing in relief, he approached the gate where one of the guards took Zus' reins while Leo got off.
Shaking hands, the elf introduced himself. "Welcome to Fort Isaac, sir. My name is Makar," he said politely, smiling.
Nodding, Leo bowed slightly. "I am Leo Crimson. Pleased to meet you."
"Likewise. The others are in the meeting room. Through that door, down the hall and to your right," he explained.
"Thank you," nodded Leo. Entering the building, he walked slowly until he reached the door. Opening it slowly, he saw a human and another dwarf there.
Right on time. Taking a seat beside the man, he offered his right hand.
"Leo Crimson. You are?"

Name: John.
Age: 16.
Race: Elf.
History: Born and raised in a human city, John had little contact with his people. He never learned how it came to be he was left at a human city, only that the mark on his clothing marked him as a member of a tribe of elves who had supposedly died out many years before he was born. Having enough of being the only elf in the human city, John left when he turned 12. For a year he went in search of his tribe. When no evidence could be found of their continued existance, he attempted to join up with another of elves. For a while he was accepted. When his gift with water was discovered, he was accepted even deeper into the tribe. For a long time John thought he had finally found a family. Then the forest fire happened. It was late into John's 15th year when a fire developed in the surrounding forest. No one ever learned how it came to be, or what caused it, all anyone knew was that the efforts to put it out by water failed. Some speculated it was magical, but that could not be, no one would ever use the gift of fire to burn a forest would they? As the sire came closer to the elven tribe's ancestual homeland John felt he should try harder to stop it. One night he snuck out of camp and went to the fire. Instinctively John walked closer to it, and then closer still, until he could see the air shimmering from the heat all around him. Without knowing why, John raised both arms. Almost without question the fire lifted off the forest floor riseing skyward with ever increaseing speed, before simply disappearing. Unbeknowest to John, the entire tribe had gathered when it was found he had gone missing, in an attempt to find him, and if need be, save him. While he stepped into the fire, they had gathered around the edge, looking for any trace of him. When they saw the fire lift, and John stand in the center of it, they knew that John would never cause the fire. But they also knew Fire was the arch- enemy of a forest. It had been rumored that once a century an elf is born with the power to control fire. The previous elves had been bringers of death and destruction upon the forest all the elves (not just the ones of the tribe) loved so much. Fearing the worst they pushed John out of the tribe. For the rest of the year, John wondered the forest utterly lost. Then the war came, and John decided to fight against this new enemy.
Appearance: Tall, and as with almost all elves, wirey, but strong. Has his hair in a braid, but keeps it tucked between his shirt and back, to keep it out of his way in a battle.
Equipment: Katana, and clothing

.
Abilites/Powers: Control over Water, control over Fire. Both tax John each time they are used. If he is standing in either element, the drain is much less. If not, then the drain is very great for fire, but due to his training, not so much with water.

IC: John stepped through the walls of what appeared to be Fort Isaac. Spotting another elf John made his way towards him. "I found this on a road." John said holding up a slip of paper with directions to the fort on it. "I am here to fight against the Shadow, this is Fort Isaac is it not?"
"It is." replied the elf his smile falling slightly as he looked at John more closely "Say... aren't you a little young for this war..." then the elf caught himself "Do forgive my manners, it has been a long day." The elf reached out to shake hands with John, a gesture John accepted, "Through the door, down the hall, first door to your right, are where the others are supposed to be meeting." the elf continued. John thanked him then turned and followed the directions. Opening the door John stepped in, while doing so he spotted two dwarfs and a human. Quietly closeing the door John made himself comfortable in the corner to the left of the door.

Just then, a man stood up and began talking. "Soldiers and soon-to-be soldiers, we bring you here in the name of Ealagi, which is in peril. As you probably know, the orcs landed in Ealagi a while ago. The three races of Ealagi managed to put aside their differences and fight together, as one, but it's not enough. The orcs are just to powerful. We believe that they get their power from their leader, Isunche.
Prophecy fortold of such a creature landing in Ealagi. Prophecy also foretold of one item that could defeat him. The Octasphere. Long ago, the Octasphere was made by a race of humanoid dragons. They're also the ones that prophecized Isunche's coming. Anyway, they broke the Sphere, which is what it was called at first, into eight pieces, and it became known as the Octasphere.
Then, all the pieces were sent to the eight great arenas, which are expertly hidden. Only the Octasphere can be used to destroy Isunched, and that's why you're all gathered here today. You band of random soldiers are the best, and the not-so-best, in the land. It will be your duty to go find the eight pieces of the sphere.
I know what you're thinking. How can we possibly find the arenas, which were built in hidden locations? Well, legend tells that the arenas were built in a chain. One arena leads the the next, through a series of clues and portals. The first arena, we believe, is the Green Arena. It is ancient, but it does not have any of the Octasphere's pieces. However, we believe the first clue is there. Now, we are sending with you much supplies and the latest weaponry for you to use, including the recently-invented rifles. A small caravan is waiting for you all outback. The only thing to do now is to wish you luck and say goodbye..." and then the man left the room, slowly and silently.
Ackell got up immediately, waved to the others gathered there, and went down Fort Isaac's many halls to the back, where the caravan was. Several soldiers got up and followed. There, he was met by a man who introduced himself as Coblo, the guide. Then he began speaking with the soldiers about where they were to go next. The Green Arena, which was located in the center of the Wiown Forest. They were to take the path directly from the Fort to Lake Murdep, and from there they'd take the Ent Path to the base of Mount Toron, which they'd circle until they got to the Green Arena. Then, after he was finished, the soldiers started packing and all that to get ready for the trip. Ackell was already ready, and he just waited for the other men to come out back.

OoC: Everyone, just jump in anytime. We'll all assume you're there with us.
IC: Once everyone was all set up and ready to go, the caravan headed off down the path, around midday. Everyone was cheerful and conversive the whole way to Lake Murdep, which they reached at the end of the day. There, they set up camp for the night.
They were ready and off before dawn the next day, down the Ent Path. There, they could swear they were being watched, and everyone was grim and silent along the way. However, they should have known that things would not be as easy as they had been.
About halfway down the path, in the afternoon, Ackell was walking down the path, bored and tired. He decided to sit down and catch up to the others in a little bit. However, the whole time he was resting, he had an uneasy feeling. He unsheathed his sword, just in case. When the others were beginning to walk out of sight, Ackell got up and started walking towards them. That's when a group of tromen jumped out of the brush and started attacking Ackell. He cursed as he dodged a vine, then cut it off with his broadsword, and it screeched.
Tromen: Tromen are a type of plant-men. They have the general shape of a human, except that the only facial features they have are their black eyes. They have many thorny vines that sprout from their back, and their hands have two fingers and a thumb, with have black claws, and their feet have two toes, which are also clawed. In the center of their chest is a large, flytrap-looking appendage, which is what they eat with, and inside, instead of tongues, they have lots of tendrils which they grab their prey with. They can see all colors of the spectrum, and they are super sensitive to vibrations.
Ackell thrust his sword into one of the tromen's chest, killing it, and then he yelled to the others, "Help!" and several of the soldiers came running. Then he decapitated one of them, but it still kept going, though blindly, and Ackell said, "Damn!"

IC: Ackell punched a tromen in the gut, making it double over in pain, then stabbed it in the chest, killing it. Another one grabbed his leg from behind while he was focusing on the one he'd just killed, then started pulling him towards its chest-trap. Ackell was saved by a fellow soldier who stabbed it in the back.
But that soldier was attacked by another tromen, who grabbed him with his chest-trap vines. Ackell got up to try and save him, but a vine slammed into his chest, causing him to be thrown into a tree, which caused the wind to get knocked out of him. He slowly got up, but another vine slammed into his chest, slamming him into the tree again. Then the tromen started charging at him, bent on devouring him, but Ackell was able to bring his sword up and stab it into the tromen's chest just in time, killing it.
However, another tromen dropped down from the tree he was leaning against, slamming its foot into Ackell's head, causing him to fall and black out.

"No!" shouted Leo at the sight of Ackell falling. Filled with anger, he took a leap and smashed the axe into the troman's head, taking it by surprise. Roaring in anger, the dwarf heard another thug behind him. Spinning around, a troman armed with a mace swung its weapon at him. Raising his axe, Leo blocked it, but the force of the blow sent him flying back into a tree. Slamming hard into the trunk, he collapsed and lost consciousness.

Ackell opened his eyes, and he stared up with effort. He saw as one of the tromen was about to use its tendrils to pull him into its chest trap. Ackell started punching it, but he was too weak. Then something strange happened. It's as if the tree he was next to came to life.
Suddenly, one of its branches, a big thick one that looked like it had a large fist, punched the tromen into the ground, utterly squishing it, sending globs of green goo everywhere. Then Ackell stood up and saw as it looked like a mouth and two eyes appeared on the tree's trunk. Then a huge roar came from its mouth, and all the other tromen scattered into the woods. Then the tree spoke. "Those stupid tromen have woken me."
"A-are you an ent?" asked Ackell, astounded.
"No!" said the tree. "Ents are long extinct. At least, I've never seen one as long as I've lived."
"Then what are you?" asked Ackell, confused.
"I'm a treant. Unlike ents, I am rooted to the ground. I am stationary. No going anywhere for me. I've been here for my whole life, which has been a few centuries. What brings you to my part of the woods?"
Ackell bowed to the tree, proud to be in the presence of such an old and rare creature, then he said, "We're searching for the Green Arena."
The treant creaked, then said, "Why do you wish to go to that wretched place?"
Ackell responded, "Strange creatures called orcs have invaded this land, and they're spreading chaos and destruction. They only wish to conquer. The only way to destroy them is to destroy their leader, and the only way to do that is to find the eight pieces of the Octasphere, and we believe we can start at the Green Arena."
The treant was silent for a moment, but it eventually said, "If you're going north, you'll never find the Green Arena. It isn't that way. If you wish to find the green arena, you must go underground."
"Underground? Where?" asked Ackell.
"Right here." said the treant, and then it started twisting, and its roots which were at the base of its trunk started writhing, and with effort and a little pain, the treant parted its roots, revealed a small hole, and a bunch of dirt fell away, making the hole larger, changing it to a tunnel.
"There is your entrance." said the treant, its voice fading until it was gone, and then its eyes and mouth disappeared, and its arm lifted into the air, looking like a branch again. Then Ackell turned to the others and asked, "Well? What do you think?"

IC: John slammed another ball of fire into the aproaching tromen. The troman screached as it caught fire before turning into a pile of ash. John staggered slightly, as he turned. Atleast they burn easily. John thought as he sidestepped another tromen. As the vines lashed out towards John, small patchs of fire appeared on John's skin. The tromen recoiled in time to not touch John. Instead opting to bring its' tendrils up towards Johns face. John ducked and unseathed his Katana. In one quick slice, he severed the creature in two. Then suddenly a deafening roar was heard and all the tromen retreated quickly. After first wipeing his blade off on the grass, John reseathed it, and stood up, now more unstable then before. "I think, like Leo said, we do not have much choice." John said, then he spotted the unconcious elf. "Hay, Ackell?" John said "You want to carry it? Because I am not."able to John added silently to himself. Turning, John stagged down into the hole, then slumped against the wall and unscrewed his canteen of water and took a few sips.

OoC: That's fine, John. That's what I expected people to do, anyway.
IC: Ackell shrugged, then started heading down the tunnel, the others following. The tunnel was tall, wide, dark, and it wound very far into the earth. It was so dark that they had to light torches, and even those didn't even light the tunnel very well. The walk down into the earth was long and droning, and everyone got bored because of it, and tired. Eventually, Ackell came to a spot in the tunnel, and he tiredly stepped forward, but there was no floor. He snapped back to his senses, but it was too late. He fell over the edge of the tunnel, into a dark hole, but managed to grab the edge, but it crumbled beneath his hands and he began to fall, but managed to grab a ledge beneath the one that had crumbled. Then he turned and stared down into the dark abyss. One of the soldiers got a rope out to help him up, and Ackell climbed back up. Then he grabbed a torch and threw it into the hole. It fell for a while, before it hit the ground and continued to burn. Where it had fallen, Ackell could see the ruins of buildings.
Ackell sighed, then said, "Looks like we're going to have to climb down there. Anyone want to go first?"
OoC: The hole we have to climb down is very dangerous and unstable, and there's a large cavern at the bottom, filled with a bunch of ruined buildings and houses. That's also where the Green Arena will be, which I'll explain what it looks like later in an IC.

IC: Penkim looked at everyone before he decided. "I'll go" He whispered quietly. Penkim handed his axe and gun to a nearby soldier, and patted Thunderbane on the head. Penkim looked at the rope they had, seeing it would only let him get down about ten feet. Not even close.. Penkim mumbled, grabbing onto the rope and tying onto a stalagmite and slowly dropped down the cliff, feet on the wall and hands on rope.
Soon, Penkim met the end of the rope and tried to find a decent grip on the hard black wall, barely being able to see. Penkim ran his hands across the wall for a bit, but he finally found a base for his hands and feet to go on. Penkim slowly descended down, without the rope, it was much harder. Penkim repeated the process a few times before he estimated he was about twenty feet from the ground. Penkim continued to run his hands around the wall, and put his left foot on a small rock that was sticking out. But the rock couldn't handle his weight, so it broke. Penkim flailed in the air and slipped, hitting the hard floor. Unconscious.

Ackell went on after the one named Penkim, repeating his actions. When Penkim had reached to about 20 feet above the floor, he fell, hit the ground, and went unconscious. Ackell gasped, then lowered himself to a point where he could jump down. Then he yelled up to the others to throw down a first aid kit, and Ackell started patching up all the wound he had. Then he sat and waited for both Penkim to awaken and the others to climb down.

IC: Climbing down after the 2 of them, Leo decided to be extra careful, after seeing what had happened to Penkim. Grabbing the rope, he lowered himself quickly down to where Penkim had fallen down. About 20 feet... Finding a few handholds, Leo managed to climb down farther until he was about 10 feet above the ground. Letting it go, he let the armour take most of the impact. Getting up quickly, he walked over to Ackell.
"Is he ok?"

"I have no idea, dwarf. I'm no medic. Hopefully, he'll wake up soon." said Ackell, and then he began looking at his surroundings for the first time. What he saw were tons of ruined buildings, as if the remains of some lost civilization. The buildings themselves were made of some sort of blue, wood-like material, but Ackell was sure it wasn't wood. Something else. And the buildings were circular and spherical, and they usually reached up to the ceiling, and they wen far into the ground. Then Ackell turned back to the dwarf and said, "Whoever built this place, they don't live here anymore. We must be cautious. There's no telling what kinds of creatures have made their homes here." and then he walked back to the hole and yelled up, "Everyone else, come down, but be cautious. The sides of the tunnel are dangerous. We'll have to send the pack animals back home. Take whatever you can and put them in packs we can carry on our backs." and the rest of the men started doing so. Then Ackell turned back to the dwarf and said, "So, what's your name?"

"It's Leo. Leo Crimson," replied the dwarf. Standing up, he took a long look around at the foreign buildings. In front of him was a long path leading into the darkness. Something tells me we don't wanna go down there, grimaced Leo. Looking back, he saw that some of the others had already made their ways down.
"If he doesn't wake up, do we have to carry him on our back?" he asked.

IC:
That is a longway down. John thought as he neared the edge of the cliff. Walking away from it, John took one of the bags from one of the pack horses. Walking back to the cliff, John slung the bag strap over his left shoulder, before climbing down the length of the rope. When he got as close to the end as possible, John released the rope with his left arm and let the bag slide down, and then off onto the ground. Then John dropped. When John hit the ground he immediately rolled backwards, allowing the jarring force to distribute itself equally across his body. Turning, John located the bag. After picking it up he walked over to the fallen soldier.

Ackell nodded to the dwarf, then got up and started walking towards the ruined buildings, searching them. So far, he found nothing. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, but he knew he'd know what it was when he found it. However, he soon got tired and began walking towards the others. That's when a strange noise echoed off the walls of the cavern. It sounded like a cross between a growl and a yell. Ackell then ran back to the others and said, "Get into formation, just in case of trouble. Those with shields get in the front. Those with close-range weapons, such as swords, in the next line. Those with polearms in the next, and those with ranging weapons to the back." said Ackell as he got to the second line and the other soldiers got to their respective lines.
Then, what looked like vines lunged out from behind all the buildings and started attacking the soldiers, trying to entangle them. Then, creatures jumped out from the buildings and charged at the soldiers. They looked a lot like orcs, except they were small, like dwarves, they were hunched over, and their arms were longer than their legs, and they held bludgeoning weapons, like maces and hammers.

IC: Roaring in anger at the sight of his comrades being attacked by the vines, Leo leapt forward at the nearest orc-like creature, his axe at the ready. Dodging a powerful swing, he smashed his weapon into the creature's chest, then finished it off with a decapitation.
Leaping out of the way, he yelled, "Fire!" Multiple arrows went forward, stopping some of the creatures in their paths, but not the ones behind them. The shieldsmen braced for the charge.
