Full Version: Faruq's Tools For Games
Sal's RuneScape Forum > Everything RuneScape > RuneScape Updates & News
Neo Avatars

Knowing that many of RuneScape's adventurers sometimes like to kick back and enjoy time with their friends and clan-mates, Al Kharid's newest resident, the mysterious entrepreneur Faruq, has brought to market a selection of curiosities to help pass the time between grand escapades.

If your clan needs fair ways of making decisions, then Faruq has something for you. If you want to have a race without any cheating or need something to mark the route, he can help. Whether you’re planning a scavenger hunt, a race, a seeking game or any kind of adventure within the adventure, Faruq asks only that you look at his wares, because he might have just what you need.

To peruse Faruq’s Tools for Games, check out the stall he has set up next to Ali Morrisane in Al Kharid market.

This is an unusual update for us, because, unlike just about everything else in RuneScape, we haven’t planned out what you should do with it. During development, we thought of things you could do, of course, but I’m eager to see what else you can come up with yourselves.

To make the tools, we sought suggestions from the forums, fan sites and various corners of Jagex. It all helped shape the project, and some of the players who made suggestions when the developer blog went out should find certain objects very familiar: congratulations on making your mark on the game!

In other news...

You can once again walk out of Edgeville’s bank using the minimap when heading north-east!

We’ve removed a small selection of items from the Grand Exchange to improve offer matching. For example, all but the (8) and (1) charged variants of the games necklace have been removed. The removed items can still be traded; they just no longer show up on the Grand Exchange.

Patch Notes

The following small fixes and adjustments have now been made to the game. If you spot any further bugs in-game, please use the Bug Report feature ('Submit a Bug Report' under the 'Help' drop-down menu of the website).

Graphical
  • The rope wasn't attached to the mast in the Cabin Fever quest.
Minigames
  • Ensured that, no matter what the spoils are from Mobilising Armies, you'll always get at least one of the item.
  • Fixed some logic within the Rescue scenario in Mobilising Armies.
Miscellaneous
  • The Mobilising Armies Teleport spell is now in the skill guide.
  • The Lumbridge Guide no longer mentions the old Bounty Hunter.
  • If you kill a vyrewatch near the river, you should now be able to pick up the drops.
  • Resolved an issue when selecting random haircuts.
  • Made sure the various armours in your POH give the correct XP bonus when using the Stealing Creation hammer.
  • Removed an extra click needed to walk after using the ring of egg.
  • The bar crawl card had the wrong directions for one of the pubs.

Pretty nice, some of them look pretty angular so you should be able to use them as weps... Lol laugh.gif
Here is a nice list of the tools from KB if you're interested. I think this should really revolutionise clan events, nice one Jagex biggrin.gif
Dr Skull

i read that post, i dont think 1 clicker is enough to count all the ranters...maybe try 5 =)

i dont really know about that edgeville glitch, but i think i will notice it if i go to the ge.
Mohorak
This is an interesting update, but I hope that you don't need the clan leader to organize everything- cuz Sal has better stuff to do than set up a starting line for a round-the-worldmap race.
Rainbow Sky Star
Might have to take a break from hunter to check it out.
Sounds like fun laugh.gif
Wiltingplant
This will be an exciting update for the events people biggrin.gif I'm looking forward to hopping online and seeing what they can come up with. Very very good update, especially since they're putting so much freedom to come up with games into the hands of the players.
Twist of Fate
That Edgeville bank thing was so annoying, glad to hear it's fixed.
Tabt
Ok, already learned my lesson, so spamming Sal's clan chat with skullball predictions... box.gif

King Reaper

OMG -- and all this time I thought I was just LAGGING!!!

O M G Mike
It's about time they made something like this. I played tag and hide and seek long ago and it was hard to keep track.
Kaknos
The stopwatch and the clicker will probably be useful for a lot more than clan games... I'll go buy some now smile.gif
Tree
Hell yes! Looks like JaGEx' read my mind again.

Np: here ya go xd.gif
Mohorak
I can foresee the clicker being used for more than just clan games... keeping track of slayer kills, for instance. Or counting the people whining about the new updates. The possibilities are endless.
Blasphemy
Stupid update, it's really spammy.
