Alright, here are my thoughts:

1. The first part was better than most SalCasts, more talk, less songs, good conversation.
2. I help whenever I have the spare time, thus I helped with the Database Drive #2.
   Also, I had the time to write up a very extensive Mining Help re-write. Proud of that there, though it still needs time to become finished.
3. Dissing on the database drive wasn't very tasteful though in my opinion.
4. No achievements section this time?

I understand that you might think this quite clearly, which is absolutely fine. Could you however, give me more of an explanation into why exactly you have these opinions. I've tried not commenting on these posts, because i don't find them constructive but in a way they are the most constructive posts. It's going to be easier for us to develop as a podcast if we know exactly what we are doing wrong that others seem to be doing right.

You can all surely understand that this is a podcast for the community, which you are a part of. Your opinions are valued, but we can't progress further without your help!

A lot of the microphones have bad quality. At some times, the music is too loud, and it's hard to listen to the people talking, and sometimes it's hard to understand what people are even saying. That's just my opinion.

We can understand you. Honestly everyone's been yelling TMZ is great, am I the only person who can't understand a single word anyone on that says?

Does it still sounds severely scripted to anyone else? I think just doing things on the go would be better.

Sacast interviewed dani, therefore I prefer the salcast, it would of been even better if "its" mic had worked

The TMZ is funnier, but that's just my opinion. Also, their hosts don't laugh every five seconds, Fatalysm.

Both the TMZ and SC are good podcasts, so I think in the end it all comes down to user-preference.

It sounds like you copy and pasted Sal's TMZ cast. But you forgot to edit your recording and it sounds like shizzle.

EDIT: I listened to the entire thing. The only decent part was the "THIS IS SALSCAST" part. I couldn't understand most of it due to the crappy recording and crappy mics.

Sat through the first 18 minutes and decided it was enough. Inside jokes, laughing because of what, doesn't grab me. Maybe I'll get around to the next 30-something minutes in a few days. I guess it would help if you cut down on length now that you found a way to get it out more often (or faster what ever you prefer). That would give you the the possibility to react in "real-time" to what is happening on the forums.

Just one more thing: Get some decent mike's and use something to prevent pop's (like blowing into the mike)

The first five minutes emphasize how they'll like you to post.

It's pretty unappealing.

All of these comments really aren't necessary. We get that some of you favor TMZ over the Salcast, so you don't need to keep sticking your harshly written opinions at us.
And no, no, no, we came up with the 'no script' idea, long before TMZ was even though of.

Well maybe if you were good at it maybe it would be helpful.

Seriously. I could hardly understand most of what you all were saying. Either, your mics totally blow, or your recording program blows.. or both.. also. The whole giggling through the entire thing was rather unprofessional and left me confused as to if I were supposed to find something funny.

Then exactly why does it sound like it's still scripted? It literally sounds like you're reading off a written down script. I'd find it more entertaining if it sounded less professional and more friendly open, like you guys have discussions about each of the main topics.

It's not like "not using a script" is some innovative podcasting technique. Look at shows like Diggnation, TWIT or Buzz out loud, these shows have been around for years and have not used a script. So don't accuse TMZ for stealing "not using a script".

And in this community, it was the TMZ who actually implemented "not using a script" first.

TMZ is just a few guys (with no hard to understand accents or bad mics ) just talkin' like a real podcast. It's kind of like an IGN podcast. They just talk about whatever. And if you had reader mail or something a lot more people would listen to see if they were submitted.

If you didn't notice by what people have said, nobody mentioned that you recorded this before the TMZ was released. Falcon said that you thought of the idea before the TMZ did, but because nobody said that you actually recorded this who knows when, we could have all assumed that you recorded this last night. But anyway, in no way do I see why you guys (Falcon in particular) care so much about the "no scripts" idea. The TMZ brought out the same idea first in their podcast, even if you guys recorded yours first. Big deal.

All in all, both the TMZ and the SC are good podcasts, but both podcasts still need work on to be perfected.

My point is, Doddsy, nobody should really care about who thought of the idea first or who brought out the idea first. Here are some facts - The SC thought about the idea long before the TMZ even existed, whatever. The TMZ implemented the idea, as in bringing it out to the community, first, okay. - But does this really matter, though? A podcast is a podcast, and if you don't know, the "no scripts" idea has existed for a long, long time; it's not an original idea. So, why is it that, whenever someone part of the TMZ crew or someone who is a fan of the TMZ says that they like the TMZ's style better, someone part of the SC crew like Falcon comes in to say that the SC thought of the idea first? I mean, who really cares, especially when that someone is talking about an idea that definitely isn't original?

I don't know why Falcon does what he does, neither do I really agree with it. I haven't come in here and had a go at the TMZ about them doing it after us or whatever, I don't really care to be honest.

What does annoy me slightly is that people said to ditch the scripts so we did. When we do that all we get it hate and complaints. We made a step forward, that was long due, and the people just pile abuse on us again.
