Turn off the music when you're talking. It's really distracting to listen to you guys speaking while the music is on.

I'm more interested in what you guys have to say more than the music that is playing.

I like the music in the background, although maybe it could be lyricless songs

I'd be fine with that, maybe some techno/trance.

It's just that a lot of the podcasts that I listen to, they don't have music playing while someone is talking, so I'm already adjusted to that.

The music is just there as more of a filler than anything, I made the decision to have music as something that breaks up discussion but carries on playing. The podcast as you said pretty much is all about the content rather than the music. Having full songs isn't what we want, it's taken a long time for this to come up. Is this something that should have been posted episodes ago? We have had music running through countless times.

Instead of telling me about how the music is playing the same way as it has been in previous episodes (which I already know), why don't you suggest a solution? Podcasts typically don't have music playing while someone is speaking (EG. MuggleCast, Diggnation, TMZ), but obviously this podcast is an exception. Because I think that the music that the podcast plays now is distracting, I suggest to either remove the music and only play it at the beginning and end of the podcast, or to, like I said earlier, use lyric-less music.

You shouldn't depend on music to break up discussion. Look at the examples I posted, listen to their podcasts, and see how they move from one discussion to another without the use of music.

I think, that, if it is needed at some point in time, we might consider it, but I agree with Fatal, the music is a good filler if hosts lose their train of thought or something.

The music DOES need to be gone while people are talking. It's distracting as hell. sad.gif

TBH usually the music is better than listening to the person talking

...or perhaps some Big Band Jazz-Swing? cool.gif
