Since ImagesHack has problems, I think the uploader on posts should be switched to Tinypic.
Burningsun01
I'm pretty sure imageshack is fine now. :]

It's still not as good as Tinypic wink.gif

I'm pretty sure there isn't an ip board mod for tinypic. :]

Could be wrong, though.

It all comes down to personal opinion. I prefer to use DesireUpload, but atm that's not working.

you are lagging a week behind

imageshack got hacked and fixed it in under 24 hours
which is what i call good points

I am fine with images hack, if you want tiny go to it's website but I am sure there is a mod for tiny pic.

Does anyone even use the Imageshack upload function within the forum? I always go to the website itself.

Sometimes I have problems with the on-site uploader. slanty.gif

To be more specific, the page doesn't load and gives a "Gateway Timeout Error". So I end up going to the site manually.

I actually do, as my computer doesn't like Imageshack most of the time, and using it straight through the forums is actually faster.

Perhaps we could have more than one image uploader?

If I plan on posting an image before I click "Add Reply" I use the site, if it occurs to me after I have the reply window open, I use the function.

It wouldn't hurt to have an alternative uploader for if Imageshack has problems, which it sometimes does... how about Imagehost.org?
Fruityfed
I don't have an opinion on Imageshack vs. Tinypic, they're both good.

Photobucket, however, sucks, from what I've seen.

The site layout looks a lot like Myspace, and I really don't know anyone of the forums who likes the Myspace layout.

Also, I've seen a million images that look like this:

It annoys the crap out of me, seriously.

So if for some reason we add a new uploader thing to the forum (which I don't think is necessary), I do not think Photobucket is the way to go.

EDIT:

Oh, haha! You silly little jokester! I am actually laughing out loud at your clever pun, implying that Images Hack...

What the hell sense does that make?

Both Tinypic and Imageshack are good image uploaders, but for some reason, I upload images much faster on Tinypic than I do on Imageshack. Thus, I would be completely happy if a new Tinypic uploader would replace the current Imageshack one. Still, I don't really mind going to the site itself, so for me it doesn't really matter. But as for Photobucket - no way, bro. Not everyone has an account there, and not everyone is going to get an account there.

Some people don't have an account at all - I don't. Swiftkit uploads for me.
Aaanyway, on the issue of Photobucket, I don't know why I voted for it, I meant to say Imagehost.org. My mind was kinda jumbled at the time. But I agree, those 'placeholders' for missing pictures are very frustrating, and seem to be becoming increasingly common from what i've seen.

I never loved ImageShack. I prefer TinyPic.

I don't think there's a widget for that though.
