Lets think for a second, Runescape is getting display names, this has been confirmed. Now surely if RS has a display name, funorb can ahve one, and mechscape can ahve one...? One login name with different display names on each game...

You can use your Jagex name for all 3 sites.

And I think it's a name changing system. Which means if you don't like your current one, you can change it to another name that is not yet taken.

There's a difference between username, or login name, and display name. The username that you use to log in probably won't be able to be changed, but the name that shows up in-game should be able to be changed.

And I doubt the display names will be able to be different over different games. Do you know how confusing that would be? You would have to have three different names in your friends list for just one person.

I think they will do what they did with funorb, to stop impersonation.

Though, I like the sn idea... It would work good, but again, the impersonation problems...
