With the recent Tools for Games update, our clan chat mods thought that a new rule limiting their usage in our clan chat would be necessary. Please keep in mind you may recruit people for a game in our clan chat - just don't over advertise it.
Usage of Tools For Games
Tools For Games are to be used only when appropriate. Asking a chat mod for permission to use them is encouraged.
Spamming the chat with results of Tools For Games use will be punished as spamming.
Feel free to follow this link to read our clan chat guidelines:

If it's only done once, it will probably just be ignored, but continually doing it will be when we probably either warn or kick.

It's a new update; obviously people are going to be messing about trying them out with their friends in popular chats. Give it a week and you'll hardly see any at which point that extra rule just gets in the way and is pointless. People don't need everything spelled out for them; use common sense. SPAMMING the chat with these messages is so obviously SPAM so falls under the SPAM rule; I don't understand who could be confused by that. It's just short-term playing with new content.

If I were doing this I'd just ask clan chat mods to remind people to be sensible with it and be more lenient for the next week or two. Just seems unnecessary.

I don't see a problem with being lenient for the next two weeks for people to get used to it, however it is better that we don't have any of these "martyr" threads of people saying it doesn't say anywhere in the rules that it isn't allowed.

The point is not whether they read the rules but whether moderators abide by the rules. By adding this rule, people have no excuse instead of having grounds to raise a fuss every time. I don't see what's so bad about it.

Jagex have stated that everything said in a clan chat has the exact same rules as talking in public or private chat. As spamming is against Jagex rules, isn't it obvious that spamming in any shape or form in Sal's Clanchat is against the rules ?

Without a set of local rules for Sal's cc only, it would still manage to cope easily as there are global rules set by Jagex for everything Runescape-wise. (Although I am in no way suggesting we remove the rules - I agree certain clan chats have certain rules - is re-stating the rules set by Jagex (spamming) needed?

)
To answer your question (which I think I havn't done

)
If sal's didn't have its own set of rules - People would simply follow the Jagex stated rules
If a nation didn't have its own rules - I'd be a mass murderer.

It might be annoying to have to listen to a whole new clan chat rule, but the simple fact is, if people complain when they're punished and claim loopholes, the best reply is to remove the loopholes. This is why there are innumerable laws against different kinds of fraud, instead of just pulling out the ol' nugget, "Thou shall not steal" every time.
