The best way to make it more attractive is to keep it active, add useful content.


Advertise by commenting on other blogs with a link to yours (don't spam), google adsense, using your forum signatures and telling friends.

Frequently (daily is great, weekly is okay, monthly is bad) update your blog with useful discussion that people would want to be interested in. Allow your readers a place to give their opinions. Just as Kaibaman said, link backs are great. Each time you post on another site, subtly add your website's URL (if they allow it). Just as you want the ability to have your link on others' sites, allow these sorts of links on your site too. The attractiveness of your site should be really up to you. Most of the blog templates I've seen are pretty good and so is the one you're currently using. As long as it's not difficult to view the content, find a style that looks great to you.
